Hello and welcome!

This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!

Competition Rules
1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified.
2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged.
3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off.
4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week.
5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.

I'll type up the judging tomorrow because time doesn't permit me to do it today. I got my winner already decided unless somebody comes up with something in the next 20 hours to change my mind.

Well I spent 2 hours on the road this morning...*yawn*
A lot of good ones this time around. Seems that 2 weeks+ worked like a charm.

First - Winner - Reton8

The second one looks a lot better, but you were still gonna win. The characters are pretty well done for the most part. Shading isn't quite consistant, and by that I mean that the shadows aren't going the same way; the zombie in the foreground as shading on the back of his arm and the zombie on the ground is casting a shadow a totally different way. I love how the colouring is done. You know, you didn't even need the dialouge, picture would of been fine without it. Enjoy the merit

2nd - Caelann

Not really to dark, but it does seem like he is floating around in a storm cloud. You know, I just saw The Wolfman a few days later, decent movie, had 1000 jump-scares...ugh. Oh, anyway, the sketch is awesome *thumbs up*

3rd - Mike127326357843

I really like the style. The glass cracking looks really good. I like the colouring of the hand, the blood streaks...yep, great job!

Great great drawing and a not a zombie! It's a little fuzzy, but that doesn't take away from the obvious skill.

And thus swine flu took over the world, either that or Piggly Wiggly's did. The actual pig looks nice, nice style used on it. Good copying and pasting too :P

Pretty nice man. The drawing aspect was done well, just the guys right arm seems a little disproportioned. The scanner ate a lot of colour and thats a shame (did it also cut off your picture?). Nice alleyway details, keep on practicing drawings like this and you'll be going places my friend

Glad you entered Kirby because this is really awesome. Great atmosphere created by the fog, the ground looks awesome! The only thing really keeping this from placing or possibly winning is the fact that you used 2 zombies to creat all of the zombies (wish you could have done what you wanted too.)

Ok, again, congrats to Reton8. 2 weeks really seemed to work well, so lets do that again.

Next theme: Landscapes/Cityscapes
This theme shouldn't be to hard, just draw a city or put on your Bob Ross hat and make a picture of a field, mountains, streams and ponds, trees, etc.

You get a merit for winning the ASC, yes, but you seem to have a rather unhealthy relationship with merits. Participating for the sole reason to win is not really the right spirit.

I never knew that cause nobody talked about them. It just gives me more reason to join. I have been joining cause I was bored.

it would have come out better if the man was hemopheliac.
