It could be something that's not an animal, say, a tidal wave or some thing. It doesn't have to literally eat fish, does it?

No it is not an animal, and it doesn't LITERALLY eat fish.

when you say "as big as an anaconda" do you refer to its length, or its pure size?

mostly it's length.

That sounds like the answer to me. It fills the requirements, but I feel I already heard it.

here's a few more:

The One You won't get unless you are VERY CLEVER RIDDLE:

There is a game show with a host named Brian. On the stage are three doors. Brian selects an audience member as a volunteer: Jacob. Brian tells Jacob that behid one of the closed doors is a car, and behind the other two is nothing. He asks him to point to one. Jacob points to door number three. Brian tells Jacob that he knows which door the car is behind, but he will give him one last chance to switch. However, before he does, Brian opens door number one, and shows that it is empty. Now the choices are number two and three. Should Brian switch doors or stay at the one he is at?

The 'This' Riddle:

I am the center of gravity, hold a capital situation in Vienna, and as I am foremost in every victory, am allowed by all to be invaluable. Though I am invisible, I am clearly seen in the midst of a river. I could name three who are in love with me and have three associates in vice. It is vain that you seek me for I have long been in heaven yet even now lie embalmed in the grave. What am I?

the 'thing' riddle:

This thing runs but cannot walk, sometimes sings but never talks.
Lacks arms, has hands; lacks a head but has a face.
What is it?

why do you think he should switch... was that a guess or did you actually use reasoning?

The thing is a clock.

I think he should stay because umm, when Jacob pointed to number three Brian said he, meaning Jacob, knows where the car is(?).

Already ben told here, but, um, I would just go with 2 if I was him.

yes it is the letter v

3+5(2x6)14 = 843?

In the game show riddle the guy should switch because it would give him a 2/3 chance of winning, and here's why:

assume the car is in door #3 in all situations

you choose #1 he gets rid of #2 you switch to #3 - YOU WIN
you choose #2 he gets rid of #1 you switch to #3 - YOU WIN
You choose #3 he gets rid of door 1 or 2 you switch - YOU LOSE

so his best bet is to switch to door #2

here's three more:

Little Creatures Riddle:

We are little creatures;
all of us have different features.
One of us in glass is set;
one of us you'll find in jet.
Another you may see in tin,
and the fourth is boxed within .
If the fifth you should pursue,
it can never fly from you.
What are we?

Box riddle:

A box without hinges
with golden treasure of no value inside
but the only way to get inside,
is to break the outside
What is it?

Door Riddle:

When is a door not a door?
