Some of you may remember the, "Great Debate," a few months back. I am deciding to resurrect its epicness, and create a whole new debating network. Here's it will all go.
Debates may be set up on this thread. You may call out a specific topic, and ask for anyone to challenge you, or you may call out a specific member to debate with.
These debates will be set up on profiles created by myself. The member who challenged a member, or the member who set up the topic, will start each debate off with their stance and back up. For backup used in the debate, a link is mandatory for your opponent.
Each member will post back in forth debating on your stance on the subject at hand. DragonMistress, Moegreche, I, or any other moderator that states they want to help judge will come by each debate profile to give update scores, and maybe a hint or two. The moderator judge will end the debate as he/she sees fit. The prize for a debate is a merit!
All rules for the site apply. No spamming, plagerising, foul language, (eventhough debates can get pretty intense) etc.
We probably will cover them all, but by having a concrete resolution we have a better idea for the scope of the debate. For "Communism is the only just form of government." We would center on communism but all other forms of government can be included (i.e. I could advocate anarcho-primitivism as a just alternative to communism, not that I would). For "Communism is a just form of government." We would only talk about communism and justice, however, I would certainly bring in capitalist freedom without specifically bringing up capitalism. For "Communism is morally superior to capitalism." The debate is only a comparison between the two on the grounds of morality. I think this one ends up giving us the most even ground to start with, but as I said before, I'll debate under any resolution you pick.
Hey, Estel, if no one has challenged you to the universe thing, then I would like to. Or if anyone thinks that the universe is infinite and would like to challenge me, that would be fun. Also, did you get the password?

Topic #1: Communism doesn't work! Capitalism is the only way to go with economy. True.
And please clarify this. Do you mean communism doesn't work economically and that capitalism is a lot better of a system at doing the job (economically)?
Or that communism doesn't work overall, because of human greed, etc.
