Right, so I pulled out of the previous GFX round due to not being able to finish on time. Since then I've been working on the image on-and-off and now it's finished only about a week late.
The picture shown below is half the size, the fullsize one can be found by clicking on the picture.
The full resolution pic (1280xs1024) is low quality...the high quality version is 1.1Mb and doesn't fit on photobucket xD Lame. Except I feel justified with the size...this was hand-drawn from start to finish.
I should have tidied up the sketchlines more, but wasn't actually intending to spend this much effort on it. Meh.
All notes are on there, etc. etc. and wow, this Sudafed is really knocking me out.......*head hits desk*
No, seriously, I took some time to do some Strugglers related work because I've just been reading the Black Lagoon manga (adults only, sorry,) and one of the characters had a similar background.
Well Strop the main issue with the map is that all of the titles are so bright that they are an eyestrain to read,so I don't know if thats the issue fst6 is having, but that is why I had trouble reading them even after full screen view.Anyways its a nice map overall.I will have to have a look at the other thing later though.
Alright, as you may know I'm working on material for making a webcomic based on AG, which is currently titled Story of Strop. I thought I might give you guys a sneak peek of an adaptation of something Cenere wrote: "Getting to know..."
I liked Cenere's interpretation of my character (boyish, hyperactive and a ditz) so much I decided to make it canon in my own body of fiction!
Page 1:
Cenere became acquainted with Strop in the late Fall (North Hemisphere), so apparently it's snowing. But since Strop comes from near-desert conditions, he very rarely sees snow.
Page 2:
The layout is a little wrong (sink on wrong side, for example), but otherwise you get the idea. It's messy!
Page 3:
Cenere wrote that Strop used his ninja skills to get through the mess in the room. If falling on your face counts as a ninja skill, well...yeah.
What follows is a ritual experienced by many an unfortunate soul who has siblings. I'm one of them, and on the rare occasions that my brother and I actually stay with each other, we take turns to...well, you'll see.
Page 4:
Strop wouldn't be laughing if somebody was ruining his sleep in, I'll admit that. But this isn't so farfetched now that I actually get up at 6 nearly every morning.
Page 5:
Don't ask me why there is a "faschwing" there, it just seemed appropriate at the time!
Page 6:
I was giggling throughout this because I can imagine my brother and I doing this to each other ever since we were kids. Some things just don't change.
Page 7:
Finally, more detail of Cenere. The original image was done by Cenere; I've adapted it to this context.
There will be more, eventually, as the story unfolds!
It's true, this is how hyper I would get if I ever saw snow in real life. I have only ever seen snow once in my life, and that was over the Christmas period in 2000. I was in London and it just happened to snow in the city for the first time in 25 years.
Not to say there's no snow in Australia, we do have some pretty okay ski slopes in the Thredbo, Perisher ranges and Mt. Bulla etc. but I can't afford to go on a ski trip.
Page 9:
I'm in ur profile pagez, peeking at your secretz.
Page 10:
As I recall, one of Cenere's subjects is something about narratives in cinema and...well the title of the subject was too long for me to remember.
And I who would have described some of those drawings as "Uhm... let's call it female anatomy studios" > >.. Hmm, I do not even have a journal.. Well, at least I can tell you that, yes, it is something with narratives.
Narratives in Knowledge Media and Forms of Knowledge
Oh, and: He will kill you. He looks that way, at least!

There is too much snow where I live...at least during the winter.
