Right, so I pulled out of the previous GFX round due to not being able to finish on time. Since then I've been working on the image on-and-off and now it's finished only about a week late.
The picture shown below is half the size, the fullsize one can be found by clicking on the picture.
The full resolution pic (1280xs1024) is low quality...the high quality version is 1.1Mb and doesn't fit on photobucket xD Lame. Except I feel justified with the size...this was hand-drawn from start to finish.
I should have tidied up the sketchlines more, but wasn't actually intending to spend this much effort on it. Meh.
killersup did not expect horse porn.athogh now he knows
Dude, if you think horse anthropomorphs in little clothing/naked but censored is porn, then I have to say you are really new to the whole internet-/real world sexuality-things. Most of them can be considered pin-ups, really.
Listening to the tracks, and being a lover of classical / incidental music I'm enjoying them. (I went to boganland for the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular the other week)
Now Go Forth: It will be pretty amazing to see / hear you playing this on piano, the starts bit were insane. I loved the slower middle bit too. The ending was also cool.
Beware the Fish: I liked it, but it probably could be a bit more fishy...although I don't know if that is possible / what that would sound like.
Cen's Theme / Quiet Please: I think that...although the quieter tone and less hecticness of the piece fitted the library theme; if it is going to Cen's theme it should be a little bit darker? It is just a bit too 'lovey' for what I picture as my representation of Cen (esp. from the WoM).
Good Morning: Does very much remind me of the olden days...well, it fits my memories. It also sounds like a bit of a remix / note change of the second part of Rondo alla Turka.
~~
I would love to play around with what would be KR's theme...if you're planning to do it.
Also, I'm assuming that you did this in Sibelius - could I have a look at the score?
Oo been a while, Cen's no longer mod run! Strop will be left unchecked :P anyways nice pick I see going inverted looks good, white on black. Just wondering what the background is suppose to be besides the moon what is the round silhouettes suppose to be?
I've never tried drawing Lyra before. Apparently it's nearly right, apart from her not wearing such a small jacket, and her hair is much longer than that.
Cen has a crush on Lyra. He's had a crush on her for ages, at least I'm led to believe. Lyra doesn't know what to make of Cen, as every time she's ever spoken to him, he squeaks, and runs away, which is odd because he's always making efforts to run into her, at least that's what it must be (nothing to do with a certain ninja horse shoving Cen towards BEING A MANLY MAN at the most opportune moments, surely).
And of course, there's this revolving door girl called Sai. That makes Cen's history a little interesting.
Strop never visits the library. But if Cen's getting grilled by Lyra about Sai... well either:
a) it's worth watching the drama unfold b) hey hold on, maybe Cen might be in a pinch here! c) but really he should just man up. This is a perfect chance to put his training to good use!
All these possibilities seemed an each way bet until Lyra marched up and slammed her hands on the table. She looks PISSED. Strop looks Oo
Blew an hour this morning doodling, and this is what resulted:
Based on a girl I'm seeing, she knows kung fu (wing chun, to be precise, currently she's learning butterfly sword forms). Maybe I can persuade her to learn how to run up walls and climb trees like real leopards can haha.
However, you did this in one hour, which is impressive. I assume you did most of the detailing with the shoes, skin, and twin sabres. Actually yes, definitely the swords, the design looks very intricate.
Actually no she's not a girlfriend. But since she isn't intending to date anybody else and I'm not intending to date anybody else for quite a while, you could say it's a similar arrangement.
I assume you did most of the detailing with the shoes, skin, and twin sabres.
Yeah, actually the idea for the engraving on the butterfly swords came from her online handle. The shoes are very quick renditions of Feiyues, as they're the shoe of choice for martial arts and parkour (I have a pair myself). Maybe I should think up a costume!
I was taking a welcome break trying to free myself from those shackles that were the WoM (oh god you have no idea how heavy a weight of nearly three years feels when you can barely muster up the energy to think about when you're going to move it forward!!!) Lately I've been reading way too much Air Gear (for you manga nuts out there, it's by Oh! Great, enough said), so I thought I'd doodle something out and revisit an old character of mine (well, Cen's idea).
Here's a small version, I guess this'll get tidied up and become a concept sheet!

But you still have to update the Archive. But breaks are always good. Sometimes you just word on something too long and you get so sick of it you start to hate it.
Might as well leave this here. The sash/skirt thing could be due to the lack of a neck tie, a jacket, demin preferably, would give her a rougher look, especially on top of the otherwise feminine corset. Shades are for rule of cool, as well as the fact that she is missing a way to shield her eyes, something she might be needing if she goes - flying in the sun, and gain her an advantage in gear wars, as she outside would be able to navigate with the sun in her face, while she inside, in darker buildings, would have to adjust her eyes from darker to lighter, and not lighter to darker, which does take a while.
