It's ok, the graphics are good, but the characters are sort of lame, and there's barely any action. Plus, team rocket always does the same thing, and the humor is barely understandable.
Same, first series was the best. I really just liked the aspect and creative idea it had, as Retribution_999 pretty much summed up what was wrong with it. Although when I was little none of that mattered XD
I think they need to make the new ones WAY more upbeat, more modern no? As no one cares about the mystical Ash Ketchum(isn't that his last name?) who is stil 10 years old about 10 years later in his story with that same old Pickachu that should've died by now(and yes...Pokemon DO die alright?) It's just...I think the whole idea needs to be made more 'today' cause what they're doing is just making a bad name and now it's more of a humor 'lets watch and laugh' type of thing o_o
Giratina is the main story of the newest game, Platinum, right? It was just recently published in Japan, and it'll come to North America next year.
My friend has that game, because of his R4, and it looks like it still has the same concept and gameplay, even pokemon. All that seems to be different is the difficulty, trainers, looks, and pokemon animations. It's kind of stupid...
You make good points and I agree with many except for the random "I don't like japanese cartoons" one, but I only watched the first since the new ones are so off topic from the original.
I stopped watching after the first series. I really enjoyed the storyline, but after that it turned into this moneymaking monster trying to squeeze the most out of it!
They had a great concept, but lost the greatness along the way. First seasons and movies were good. Later seasons and movies have been too repetitious, and they lost most of their older audience on that, I think. Personally I was a big fan of the TCG (Trading Card Game) until they released the fourth generation. It was just too much and too out of the old (good) style.
