True, he is. He is almost acting like a child. But he is managing to keep his clarity, and making his points well, not matter how much bullcrap they are, but still, kudos for that.
I like how quick they both were with, it would be so incredibly sad but let me tell you about my administration.....
Is anyone else watching CNN? The have a little ticker at the bottom showing uncommitted Ohio voters. It keeps flatlining every time Palin starts to talk. So far it seems undecided Ohio is for Biden. So far course.
Well, isn't Ohio a more Liberally biased sate? Also, CNN is also a more liberally biased station...
I have no clue what Ohio traditionally is. And CNN being liberal is not really effecting the ticker. All fox is doing is some kind of american idol type text message voting thing.
watched the whole thing, and personally thought that Palin seemed to avoid most of the questions, and just stuck to the same few topics: Alternative Energy, "Greed and Corruption" on wall street, and the Maverick slogan, even when the topics had nothing to do with the question (when asked about bankruptcy, she moved to energy). It seemed to make her inexperience stand out more. It was a pretty close one, but just the fact that Palin had trouble staying on topic makes me want to lean more towards Biden.
Ohio is one of those states that often comes out blue but really only because of one or two large metro areas (in their case Columbus, which has a thriving and large gay community, and I suppose Cincinnati as well). If you check their vote totals by county, you'll often see they have close to a 50/50 split, pretty much broken up by rural/urban. Illinois, Oregon, Washington state, and California are much the same. I would assume other states experience the same phenomena.
As for the debate itself, it pretty much went down how I expected. Biden had slightly more substance (but not much because these are nationally televised debates so generic rhetoric is the theme of the day) but let Palin's absolutely nightmarish vapidity get him peeved, which could reflect poorly on him (it's only 10% what you say and 90% how you say it, after all).
For Palin's part, she shouldn't couldn't have managed to sound any more stupid than she has in her recent media appearances, which I think was the point of said media flubs. These people have huge PR teams that prep them for everything from speeches, to Press Releases, to debates. The questions she's botched in her interviews, well there was no reason for it. Magazines and Supreme Court cases are something that her PR peeps SHOULD have coached her on. By not doing so (I'm guessing) the bar was set so low for her performance tonight, she almost couldn't fail.
In the end, I'd say she gained more ground, but that not many swing voters were really swayed in either direction.
