yeah i play, i have the Tau if you are going to start buy the battle for blackreach box set, it contains the rules, abuot 40 miniatures for Orks and space marines so it is a great start to the hobby

ok my brother collects the guard, tell me what price range eg. $50 and i will tell you a good thing to get, but what you have chosen is a great start to a collection

well i am going to get it for chrismas so i dont know you can tell me the best way to start like how your brother did

ok, my brother bought the battle force box which has 20 cadian shock troops, a leman russ battle tank, and 3 heavy weapon teams. this cost $150 Aus dollars, please put your country in so i can get a better under standing of price. aslo buy the codex, as this will help you with the rules and your teams tactics.

ok. the codex has heaps of information on your team. it tells you the strengths and weaknesses of the guard but to play a game you need the 5th ed. rule book to play a game.

is there any set that come with the gard and the rules?

unfortunately not but you can buy the rule book by itself for $50 us.

that's a lot of money for a book

i know but it,s hard cover and about 200 pages. but not all of those are rules
