oh and i forgot to tell you i played a lil of lord of the rings so i have a few of those
but like how long are the rules?

not too long like about 10 important pages, more pages explaining the important ones in detail and mostly the history(made up) of 40k

I had about 2500 points worth of blood angels back in the day. My roomate still has 1500 points worth of various armys, i still love to paint them and whatnot, but no one around here plays anymore

cool but you can just go to a "games work shop store" and play
the game and is the game easy or hard to play?

hard at first but gets easier the more you play, the other 190 pages give information about the worlds and teams they fight in 40k

so will i need the codex?

yes because it give the necessary information for the guard

Games Workshop sells 3 different main games.
there's Fantasy WARHAMMER
WARHAMMER 40K
and Lord of the Rings.
I'm going to collect the skaven â"which are these evil rat-menâ" that are in fantasy warhammer. charley123 is going to be collecting the Imperial gaurd that is from warhammer 40k. also, if anyone thinks fantasy warhammer and 40k are based in the same worlds (universes, planes etc.) the're not. also, some of the armies in 40k are pretty much the futuristic version of it's corresponding armie in fantasy warhammer

Orks = Orcs & Goblins
Necrons = Tomb King etc.

also, fantasy warhammer has 15 armies, while warhammer 40k has 12.

(NOTE: fantasy warhammer is just called "WARHAMMER", just I call it fantasy warhammer so it doesn't get mixed up with "WARHAMMER 40K)
