An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of a mammalian embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. An abortion can occur spontaneously due to complications during pregnancy or can be induced. Abortion as a term most commonly refers to the induced abortion of a human pregnancy, while spontaneous abortions are usually termed a miscarriage.
Abortion has a long history and has been induced by various methods including herbal abortifacients, the use of sharpened tools, abdominal pressure, and other traditional methods. Modern medicine utilizes medications and surgical procedures to induce abortion. The legality, prevalence, and cultural views on abortion vary substantially around the world. In many parts of the world there is intense public debate over the ethical and legal aspects of abortion. The approximate number of induced abortions performed worldwide in 2003 was 42 million, which declined from nearly 46 million in 1995.
So,abortion declined in the last years, this mean that people are always more convinced that abortion is bad.
No, we would still have this problem, because a lot of people don't want/see the need to get married, and I agree. And also, what about sexual assault? That would occur even if everyone was, god forbid, married. Sexual assault takes place in marriage as well, and women still require safe access to abortion even if they are married.
And people should be able to appreciate full and healthy sex lives without having to be in a marriage, and not have to 'abstain' just because a minority's opinion dominates. That's right, polls in Australia show that up to and over 80% of people support abortion rights, and yet at the time of writing this abortion is still on the Criminal Act in Victoria. So much for democracy.
Also they shouldn't eb having sex if they aren't married cuz all it does is lead to problems and sexual assault my pastor ran into one of these and he talked with teh girl and even though she hated teh man who did it she said she would not terminate a human so she kept it and later when it was born put it up for adoption her main reason was why kill an innocent baby because of another man's sin?
see my post above. and your example, xantos, doesn't describe anything. Whether or not people want to adopt their child out, people still require the option of legal abortion, if they do not want to adopt, which is dubious anyway.
Restricting abortion does not make it disappear anyway, it just forces women who require it to seek thoroughly unsafe 'backyard' operations that put their lives much more at risk. People who are anti-abortion are not 'ro-life'; they are for forcing women to put their lives at risk, and being unable to make decisions that affect them in the most intimate ways.
Any abortion arguments seem to revolve around the intrinsic worth of a human life (which rests on a loose definition of "life" or some sort of religiously based argument, which is easily refuted. There is nothing to suggest that a fetus at any point "deserves" to live any more than it "deserves" to die. I wonder if this issue is just exacerbated because publicly, people don't want to admit that they have no real feeling for a fetus.
women who have a baby accidentally and does not want it and does abortion, i totally disagree with. that child deserves to be born no matter if they want it or not. it is really sad to me when they kill the baby inside the mothers stomach. thats pretty bad. but if the baby will become very ill and the mother is having too much problems with it, ok then it is good in that case
