Zophia poked me to make a thread. I know this will die off quickly, but I guess I could just show off some work in progress, and what I have managed to do by combining MsPaint and GIMP.
The first one is the outline. It is done in MsPaint, since GIMP was acting up.
The next two is the coloured result, both coloured in GIMP (It was acting okay again) The difference is the outline. The upper one is with the original outline:
With this one I copied the outline and blured it. So the original outline is on top, the next layer is blured, and then the colour come:
The last one here is what I will think of as the conclusion. A gradient layer from GIMP, smudged out and adjusted, again with the smudge tool. The lazy solution, I know.
Work in progress, right? I do not know if I am going to make it any better.
I will. I got photoshop a month ago, people tell me it have been good for my drawing skills in general. Just wishing I had c3/c4 instead of elements, but I am good for now.
So much pain building up again, so much.... Too much... Shouldn't... Not... No... He held his breath, trying to stop, cut off the sobs from erupting in his throat. Again and again, staggering breaths, slightly out of control. The first sob came to life, then one more. His body was shaking, tears flowing down in a steady stream, dripping from his chin and nose. He held his breath again, the pain exploding inside his chest. He opened his mouth wide, like in a scream, but no yell was heard, only the almost silent sound of air being pushed out in one long hard blow. Every muscle in his face was flexed, his body still shaking, though now it was from exhaustion. He relaxed a little, taking small, sobbing breaths, trying to catch his breath. The pain came closer again, and his mouth flew open, pushing all the air out of his lungs. This continued for some time, the period between the silent screams getting longer. He was now light headed, dizzy. Tired. The pain in his chest was gone for now, and instead replaced by a throbbing headache. Still, his breath was shaking, but as he relaxed, the intake of air became more natural. The only thought was sleep, nothing but sweet, dreamless sleep.
