Zophia poked me to make a thread. I know this will die off quickly, but I guess I could just show off some work in progress, and what I have managed to do by combining MsPaint and GIMP.

The first one is the outline. It is done in MsPaint, since GIMP was acting up.

The next two is the coloured result, both coloured in GIMP (It was acting okay again)
The difference is the outline. The upper one is with the original outline:

With this one I copied the outline and blured it. So the original outline is on top, the next layer is blured, and then the colour come:

The last one here is what I will think of as the conclusion. A gradient layer from GIMP, smudged out and adjusted, again with the smudge tool. The lazy solution, I know.

Work in progress, right? I do not know if I am going to make it any better.

Messed up the grass real bad....

Advice on grass:
It's like when you draw a brick wall or a shingled roof. It looks wrong if every single brick/shingle/straw is drawn, because our sight simplifies things we perceive.
So try going for a more general brushiness next time, instead of individual straws, it might help.

Besides the grass, I think it looks awesome. Grayscale ftw.

2 things:
1. New drawing is cool, but teh feet to leg ratio seems weird, and the grass just seems spiky and long.
2. what in the world is xxxholic? sound pornographic, but if it has censored zombies in it I'm fine!

@Zophia: I know.... I made too much grass... Me sorry, me no mean to...

@Thoad: I can sit like that~~ Anyway, the grass i really messed up...
And xxxholic is a manga in the mystery genre, a parallel story to TRC, really. There are dead people, but no zombies, really... Syaoran, the one Kai is cosplaying, is from TRC, and crossovers with xxx.

P.S. kai looks kinda girly, I think it's the eye placement.
P.P.S. I didn't mean the placement, but the legs and feet look a little larger than they ought to.
P.P.P.S. I STILL like to make alot of P.S.'s.
P.P.P.P.S. xxxholic doesn't seem like my cup o' tea, I'll stick to T.V. and flash games. lol.

haha, I haven't played #1,2,3, or C.V., but RE:4 and RE:5 are filled with epic win. I guess you have to be a gamer junkie like me to love it the way I does. . .the gore is fun to watch. Plus, with the blu-ray on RE:5, it's extra creepy, gorey, and overall more fun. Plus, sherry finally got her ass in another RE game. So yeah. Plus, RE:4 is made of pure win coz. . . .let's just say it has enough win to go around ^-^.

If I had the money to actually have more than my computer and the online games, then I guess I might be a junkie as you. But I do not.....

haha, that's a good thing bout being a kid in a decent income family, you get games every so often ^-^U. I recommend you use money from gift cards for other gifts, and things, then you can get what you want with your own money. That's what my mum says 2 do.

Well, I have a rent (335 USD), and then need to pay for food and heat and TV, internet.... I have to pay for the train home too, and the bus.
