I was looking around for music, when I happened apon a website. It was called www.pandora.com and it was one of the most wonderful sites I have ever encountered. It was created by "The Music Genome Project" and is essentially a internet radio that takes artists/songs that you input and plays ones by the same artist or similar songs. It does this by coding every song with atributes. I found it to be a great site and I was sondering if anybody else had heard of it. If not, I hope that you go try it out. I found it to be very user friendly, and if you would like to register it is free, and if you do not fell comftorable with providing your email just use a ______@bugmenot.com account.
It gets a little bothersome having to teach the program what music you like or hate by giving it a thumbs up or down. But after a few days it will get the idea, kinda. Even after having one of my music stations set up for over 4 months it sometimes sends me horrible music.
Yeah, that's because it keeps growing. I ussually get one or two bad songs out of ten. I still love it though, I just put a bunch of good artists on quickmix and listen to it while I do work.
I've been using it for about a year, i've found so many good bands because of it...definitely a cool site, plus now they're expanding to compete with companies like Sirius and XM
