by tobacco i mena ciggerates in general. I belive they should be illegal because they cause so much death even from second hand smoking. i know peolpe go nuts without there nicotine but they have gum and patches that will help. i want to know your opinions on this subject at hand. (wether or not it should be illegal and why)
Yeah, I do believe that we actually covered the era of Prohibition and cited it as a precedent in the debate regarding the legalisation of recreational drugs!
tobacco has nothing to do with drugs. any drug is a substitute to trying to quit smoking, ive seen it first hand from my friends. I use to smoke and easily quit, if people wanted to. SERIOUSLY WANTED TO, then you can easily...hands down. cigarettes arent that addicting, its the same with drugs. If you cant quit, it shows you have a weak mentality.
Now prohibition was my example that the government would learn that trying to control an addiction is something that they shouldnt be able to choose but for the people to choose themselves. To force everyone into quitting would only bring up more anger against the government and probably get a lot of people pissed off

It took me three or four attempts to quit for me. It's not a weak mentality at all. Nicotine is very addictive. When I quit smoking, I wanted to kill everyone I saw for two weeks. But I do agree that the government should not be involved.
I don't think that it should be illegal. If people want to slowly and painfully kill themselves and there wallets of fine by me.
All i know is that there are little green men in the cigarettes who when you smoke them come out and nibble your ears off and then you DIE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Tobacco, along with any other drug (no pharmaceutical btw) is like paying someone to punch you, where they punch you varies between different drugs but the point is why would you do that to begin with? I don't care if it's addictive or not, why would you start it? Oh, your friends told you to do it? Is that so? Not to sound mean but then your stupid for giving in to your retard friends. The only people I sympathize with are the people who smoked way back when before people knew the risk. And if you tell me you didn't know the risk when you started, please tell me where the hell you live.

Technically tobacco is a drug, so anyone selling it is technically a drug dealer. I know messed up on what I meant, I'm just trying to defend it a little.
your logic is very faulty... thats like saying 95% of the world's population is a drug dealer.. because anyone that sells cokes, aspirin, energy drinks, cigarettes, is a drug dealer..
I really think that barneythebeast is correct. Ciggerates should be illegal because they cause death with cancer. This one time I walked into this br where you could smoke freely. My mom was there.(this was when I was like 11). Well, anyway the point is I couldn't stand the smoke I swear I was going to die of smoke inhalation in there so I told my mom I couldn't stay here we had to leave and we did. (my mom doesn't smoke by the way).
I don't think tobacco should be illegal. Yes, it is bad for you but people are still going to do use it like crack and weed. If they do make it illegal then it is just going to cause us more money to try and get it off the streets. The good thing about making tobacco illegal is that less people would be using it thus less deaths and health issues.
