I've studied human religions far more extensively than you. I've been to the holy lands. I've walked the ruins of ancient civilizations. I've practiced more than one religion, and have come to the realization that spirituality is something entirely different. The message is lost because the messengers have forgotten what it was for.
Well I can't think of any large miracles but god has been by my side since I was born, I remember when I was really little I could see angels, well thats what my grandma said, she told me that I always used to point in corners where angels were, god has given me a nice life, a nice mom, nice computer, a roof over my head, a supportive family and good friends, I have truly been blessed throughout my life and your post has made me realize that so I not only thank you but I thank god.

God has done a number of things in my life. Most prominently, he inspired people to have a different opinion than me. He gave me someone to argue against. Whether he exists or not, God gave philosophers things to think about, inspired people to do great things, and slightly lessened (or increased, hehe) people's fear of death.
i say god makes bad things happen to us to see how we will react. to see if we will say "why the hell did this happen to me" or " god i hope you can make me feel better". i also think good things happen so god can see if he thank or if we forget about him.
