ok , like wtf is up with people making all these imaginary figures which serve no purpose... i understand if it is to interest little kids in the holidays but why do people go soooo over board? i mean there are some people ( above the age of 15) who still thinks half these imaginary beings are real... i find it quite stupid , not that im against little kids having fun and all but cant there be someone to actually look up to? i mean i get fathers day , mothers day and all that , thats cool because the figures you look up to on those days are real people... so why do we keep these ridiculous traditions going?
I don't know why people make their kids when they are little believe in santa, he doesn't bring presents their parents do lol it just sounds stupid to me
Home of Santa Claus
In American tradition, Santa lives on the North Pole. However, each Nordic country claims Santa's residence to be within their territory. In Denmark, he is told to live on Greenland. In Sweden, the town of Mora has a themepark named Tomteland. The national postal terminal in Tomteboda in Stockholm receives childrens' letters for Santa. The Finnish town Rovaniemi has long been known in Finland as Santa's home, and has today a themepark called Santa Claus Village.
1. Well of COURSE Santy Clause is real! He's "everywhere" on the holidays. He assumes the form of over 1,000 Clauses with different shapes and sizes so he can do his work =D
2. I've proved that the TF was fake when I was 6.
3. What's an Easter Bunny? What does he do?
4. Baby New Year in a sense can be true, since newborns can be born on the 1st of January. There's just more of them =)
What fun would holidays be if you knew your parents just went out to Bi-Lo and bought you this random thing? "Santy Clause" (:P) Makes kids enjoy the holidays more.
The constant holiday cheer....the feeling you get by feeding the Clause with sweets + milk....the overactive imagination...the suspense piling up when it was Christmas Eve... all that went away when I was 10, and ever since then, Christmas wasn't as fun as it used to be =(
'Course, the one that I was really feeding was Dad, and was always a fatty, so that's probably where my cookie tray went.
That depends what the circumstance was Bob. That could've been dog food , and Santy Clause forgot to tell people that Reindeer are natually allergic to it, so he quickly threw it away, lest the reindeer get hives. =)
Leaves painted (or just normal) eggs around in your garden. Is often replaced by chocolate eggs in more recent times. I think the Easter bunny derives from some fertility symbols, you know, hares and eggs... Chickens... Shouldn't be hard to look Easter Bunny up on Wikipedia or so.
Who cares if there is no point in having them? It's nice old traditions that aren't hurting anyone and mainly serves for storytelling purposes. It's all the fun in the holidays.
Oh.... Well, you know why I don't know these things XD I meant dog food, food that dogs eat, not...actual.dogs.themselves.... I wish I had one of those in my land...it sounds fun. =(
Tell me something ScarBlade. Were they annoying when you were young? Nope! We adults just feel to encourage Santy Clause to the children so they will have a better time with Christmas. =)
These characters are the biggest blackmail in the world.
santa - be good and you won't get a lump of coal in your stocking... tooth fairy - put your tooth under your pillow, and he'll give you a dollar... easter bunny - he hides eggs and you have to find them...
