If any of you lived in Mexico for a week, you would realize why they are trying to jump the border. The average Mexican makes $1 a day. They have to live with dirty water, crime, drug lords, rampant murder and prostitution, while trying to feed their family.

US corporations go into Mexico (under NAFTA laws) and rape the country of its resources and put every local business under. People have no choice but to work for $1 a day.

After trying to pay for rent, food, shelter, clothing, and other basic needs, there is barely any money left. It costs $200 to apply to become a US citizen. Now how is the average Mexican going to pay for that? They can't &quotull themselves up by their bootstraps." It's impossible. The system in place keeps these people down forever. They have no choice but to jump the border to live a better life.

I'm not denying that but come here legaly, and the US does need to make ways such as joining the military that people could "work" to live here in a more efficent way

Well then we need better U.S. citizenship laws. Lower the cost or just say they need to pay the U.S. back in 2 years.

Ok, if we took Mexicans and put them into our military that would be drafting them, and if you know the draft isn't in effect. Also you said illegal immigrants are not Americans so they can't serve for are military. Also yes illegal mexican immigrants are taking are jobs, but only a small percent. American jobs are disappering because of our horrible ecomony. Why, because the value of goods have fallen which means people aren't buying companies products. So they go out of business, and hundreds of people loose jobs. Mabye even thousands.

So you want people whose loyalties will be questionable at best, guarding the backs of our servicemen and women? Yeah...there's an idea with wings tied to a very heavy lead weight...

What you are proposing is slavery at the point of a gun. That's not our way. We aren't tyrants. We are supposed to set the example of freedom, justice, and truth. How does this proposal demonstrate that?

One of the reasons we got into a war with the English in 1812 was they were stealing our sailors and impressing them into service. No matter how nicely you put it, you are engaging in forced conscription. We ended slavery in the 19th Century, and we ended the draft for our own people as well. Your proposal is unethical and inhumane.

The United States, and mostly California and Texas, spends too much money every year to try a minimize illegal immigrants. Yet, should we lower the fee? No, we shouldn't. The population of these "immigrant hungry" states are rising fast enough. Poverty is rampant is many cities within these states. Yes, it's true that in central California they are the subsistence of livelihood and economy, but overall, they're more of a burden than a help.

Should we do something about it? Yes. What should we do? I'm not quite sure.
