Cuba was the armpit of the Western Hemisphere before the revolution. It was run by mobs, gangs, corrupt elites, and dictators. The Cuban revolution improved the country a lot. Their standard of living is much higher, along with life expectancy. They have full education as well. Because of people like the Castro's and Che, life got better.
But at the same time, Che was responsible for over 1,000 executions. The people were put on show trials and not given any sort of trial. His tactics were brutal. After the revolution, nothing changed politically. Cuba is still a dictatorship, just with higher life expectancy and education.
Overall, what the Castro's and Che did for Cuba was a step in the right direction, but it went no where from there. It relied on force and unfair trials, brutality, and executions. Not to mention, there is no political freedom or freedom of speech.

Well, they would have done the same thing to Che and his men
It's like saying, "You voted for politician X, thus you can't have an opinion on him." It's stupid.
I have a shirt with a TV character on it (Eric Catman of South Park, of course). Does that mean I can't say anything about him or the show? It's absurd how idiotic your logic is.
It's just that the picture is so iconic. If my facts are right, it got a boost of popularity when this guy used the photo to forge an Andy Warhol work. Warhol actually authenticated it so that he would get the money for the work. It's unfortunate now, though, that people wear a shirt with his image without actually knowing who he was, or what he did; they just know that he was a rebel.
That photo above is of Ernesto "Che" Guevara. It is considered one of the most iconic and important photographs in history. It symbolizes the revolutionary hero of the landless masses and left-wing movements.
Unfortunately, most of the people who wear those shirts are upper-middle class, spoiled rotten brats. They claim to love his left-wing values, but can't spend one day without demanding money from their rich parents.
I'll say. I once caught a guy with a Mao shirt and he couldn't even tell me who was on it.
lol
But if people have Che on T-shirts, then that could possibly mean they're either communist sympathizers, revolutionaries, hippies, or they just feel bad for poor people.
