You could try some Sudafed (or anything with pseudoephedrine in it). It it is just sinus congestion, that should clear it out. If it doesn't, you might need to make an appointment with a doctor.
If you dribble a little hot water in there it should start to melt any wax build up. If you are clumsy or a sook and so have issues with that, you might try some steam... ie: very hot water in a basin, towel over your head etc same as when you have a blocked nose. But wax may not be your problem. Either way, just be aware that, if you stick anything into the messed up ear and then put it into the other ear afterward, you could spread the problem if it's some kind of infection.
Get a pan of boiling hot water (that is steaming), and lay it down on a table, put you face above it, and inhale the steam slowly, do that for 20 minutes or until you feel better. What it does is it loosens up the mucous and allows you to easily get rid of congestion, by loosening the mucous, it makes it easier to blow out the object(s) causing the congestion.
more like habernero sauce but actually what helps for me is if it's water but your head on that side that the congestions on if not you 've got a problem go to your doctor
