mine is a C low morals coupled with a bad economy and low world standings but we still have a great military and pride and patriotism for our country so way right in the middle
a C i givee it a b cause it sucks with economi and it is not that good with the other country's
HAH! Our economy is the largest in the world. We destroyed the only other world superpower, not with violence, but with money. Of course, if things keep going China will definately overtake us there.
Also, America has wronfuly repressed communists and socialists out of its own fear!
More like ignored. Communists haven't been repressed since McCarthy. Communism doesn't work in America because we like our guns and cheap DVD players. Also see above. That's a good reason too.

The US was not involved at all taking down the Soviet Union.

Lol. Yeah. My econ teacher predicted we'll get economically pwned in 4 years. I really can't wait until this happens, the U.S is too fat and spoiled anyways.

Yes. The US was very involved. Provide your basis that we were not. I'll start with mine; Francic Fukuyama's The End of History and the Last Man is a good start. Wikipedia it if you are curious.
What a cheap ignorant comment.
Again, what is your basis? I suppose its an oversimplified answer, but my point is that secular free-market economy coupled with liberal democracy is a far better method of governence than Communism as has been proven over the last half-century. Communists aren't repressed, they are margianlized and ignored because their ideology is largely viewed as less desireable.
Well I haven't quite read the book, so that's useless :-$ If you would outline his arguments...

Looking at communism historically serves many faults. I'm a communist and I along with the rest actually advocate a democratic transition to communism. Not a highly authoritative state. And its quite foolish to compare the Us to the Soviet Union. Many of the pre existing conditions were different and so were their results.

Communists have been taken down by force many times throughout history... Their ideology is viewed as less desirable because of non violent repressions. Want to watch some cold war propaganda?
