Twilight is for desperate girls who need to feel special. They want some attractive guy to fall for them.

Bella is uncharacterized on purpose so that these desperate chicks can imagine they are her.

The only people who hate it are the people who haven't read it.

Amazing. I'm obsessed. I've only read the first book but im planning to get the rest ASAP. I can't stop talking about it to my friends, really really good.

Can't wait to see the movie, wont be good as the book but, will be a good film all the while.

I suppose I'm one of the few people who's read Twilight and thoroughly hated it.

I feel genuinely sorry for people who say this is their favorite book, because it means that they've been deprived of quality literature all their life. Whatever happened to strong, multifaceted characters and a compelling plot? What happened to the classics in our children's libraries?

Well,I laughed at my wife when she read the series over the summer and became infatuated with it. Then she told me that we would be seeing the movie. Given that I refuse to watch a book-based movie without first reading the book I had no choice but to read it...

Turns out I loved it. It is fluff. It is not great literature. People aren't going to be burning their copies of Jane Eyre because of Twilight's obvious superiority. But I think what makes the books good is Stephanie Meyer's ability to convey the intensity and emotion of Bella and Edward with the written word. I found the characters captivating, and ended up reading all four in a week. I'll probably read them through again in a couple of years.

My wife and I are both 23 and we loved them. I'd say the audiance range would be at least to mid-30's.
