I think its all very meh. The only reason they are doing this is too try and sway casual gamers away from Nintendo. They figure they can make it an easier experience.
Another thing; I could've sworn there were already 3 threads about the new update, and the first one was around 2 weeks ago. Why is everyone making new threads, again? Please, look around before you post a thread...
as much as looking at the topic name has hurt my eyes, I must say I dont have anything against the new update since all I really care about when playing my XBox is the games. That IS what I bought it for afterall
To me...the update is pretty cool and it has more options... well easier to get to options and the avatars... which may be copying from nintendo but its legal... It jsut plain works for me with the parties and all...
It's exacty the same setup with a new skin and new controls. Some of the tabs are easier to get to, saving you about 12 seconds, but nothing has been improved and nothing has been defaced.
The avatar system is a welcomed addition, but looking at the wardrobe, it was designed for teenage girls in hopes of actracting a few more gamers. I also do agree with hylian, I think Microsoft is aiming at a more casual gamer demographic.
