The Age of Empires series and the Total War series are the best historical strategy games/series in my opinion.

Command and Conquer, including Red Alert, Generals and Command and Conquer is the most notable and the best RTS series.

Starcraft and Warcraft are very popular but I have not played them much.

UFO - Enemy Unknown A true classic!

I love Age of Empires. Especially II, so much fun to play.


(err... does football manager need a strategy.)
