Sniper. Who cares about 500 bullets in a wall when a sniper will tear right through it, and five people beyond? Also, the stealth capabilities of a sniper are much greater than that of an MG. Snipers can kill in one shot typically, thus cancelling out the fire-rate of MGs.
Nobody knows anything about snipers now-a-days. A average sniper is .243 caliber. That might bust through a wooden wall. Maybe. Machine guns? .223. Slightly, slightly less powerful.
