Wow, DS is the best weapon in the game stat-wise, if you don't count piercing from Wrath. I thought Supremacy would be, since it's way more useless. Huh.
well, DS gives more vit and lots of speed, so you can divert other eq from giving too much vit or spd to give more str instead. You can also re-spec if you have put some statpoints into speed or vit before, and put them into str. DS is an overall-better sword, while ED is just the biggest single stat sword. Also my bio (20 yet) misses a lot with Infects while having only 80 speed (well, no ED, I don't dare battling a hydra again), so having extra speed will help in adding to your chance to hit, resulting in better damage.
I can't believe some people think Emerald Death is better than Death SentEnce for bios. Especially a poison bio. My poison bio very much enjoys his DS cookie.
The idea is: Get the weapons/armor with the most stats, then use your free stat points to round off your character. ED has 34 more strength than DS but 32 less vitality, and no speed. DS has 66 points in speed you would have to put in there otherwise, with stats or armor. If your bio has any speed stats whatsoever put into it, then DS will be better because it gives you more stats. You can just shift around the free points in a re-spec to get the balance that you want to. You'll end up better, probably in every stat.
I saw more than a few posts saying that Supremacy was a useless weapon, but your forgetting that there are allot of attacks, for bio in particular, that use both strength and instinct as a coefficient, let me give an example, say you have an attack that does 180% of your strength & instinct in damage. your strength in this build is currently 100 and your instinct is 50. you will do more damage with supremacy than you would with death sentence. Why because with supremacy your total strength+instinct score would be 368 where as with DS it would be 302. and some of the best moves in the game use both stats for damage.
thats a totaly stupid idea, NO good bio skills use int, for speed bio if i use death sentance, i do 19k with withdrawl+shadow blend, with supremacy however, only about 11k, and withdrawl DOES use int, so think before you speak.
well, I use Supremacy on my psycho and it seems to be OK on him, since I strive for speed while trying to maintain good damage. And dacer, you might be mistaken about Supremacy and Withdrawl, Supremacy gives more (str+inst+speed) than Death Sentence, and has equal bonuses to speed.
... No viable build in this game uses both Instinct and Strength. A Hydro could, but I can't figure out a way it would not suck with it. And why would you even consider putting an item with strength on your psycho?
