On which aspect?

If you're not talking about price-wise,
PS3 is better in a million ways.
But that's the only problem with it,
it's freaking expensive.

One was released in late 2006, and
one was released in 2000.
Which one do you think is going to be better?

2. They are both made the same company, and PS3 is simply a upgraded version of PS2. PS3 can also play all of PS2's games and has better graphics. But serious, it's way too expensive.

dude its not even comparable. i mean for a first gaming system, playstation 2 is better. but the ps3 is better for pretty much everything else

I have a ps3 and hade a ps2. There are so many more things to do on the ps3. download games and movies, put music on there permanetly, serf the web. and the ps2 isnt much anymore, i mean its put a game in and play, big whoop.

PS3 FOREVER ( till PS4)

PS2 is still better. PS3 have much more potential, but there is no Unique game for it. And I'll change my mind only when FFXIII will be released.

They both are rather good consoles, but yea if your not looking at prices PS3 is better.

Price matters.. PS3 is a newer version of PS2. So can't buy PS3? PS2 is about as good

ps3=advanced and better console but with some proplems..

Ps3's are more advanced with HD graphic game (the ones availiable) and it has way more features than a PS2.


Think of this, if the PS2 was better than the PS3 why would they even sell it?

If you can afford it, PS3 is definitely the way to go. Better graphics, an updated system, and it can play all PS2 games.

PS3 has an emulator, allowing it to play (almost) every ps2 game ever made. Also, PS3 contains Blu-Ray capabilities, HD graphics, and more RAM. This means faster loading in a generally better game. Also, the PS3 has a built in hard drive, so no more constantly needing memory cards . So, if you dont have an extremely tight budget, PS3 is the better choice.
