It's great but the level cap is gay. I have heard that there will be downloads on live for higher level caps and more missions. I my self hope so cause with level caps at 20 their is no point in playing on hard mode it just gets boring faster. The guns are nice would love it if they had a bigger selection i had almost all the guns by level six including a lot of the "special" guns.
Well... It gives me something to think about if this all comes into reality. I mean 2077, that's not too far from here, is it? Let me read the Foreword from the game guide:
"Over the last four years, the Fallout 3 team put everything they had into this game. I think it's hard for someone playing the game for the first time to really appreciate how much has gone into it; how many big things there are and just how many small things. the world of Fallout 3 allows so many great ideas, whether they be dramatic, action packed, or darkly humorous, to come together in a new way. the journey in creating all of this has been a shared experience, and one that has proven to be the most fun I've ever had making a game."
So as you can see, just about all of this is the truth. Not many people really thinks about just how much time and effort has gone into making a game, and let me tell you, Fallout 3 took a lot of both. The game gives a lot of details, much interactivity, and provides great explosive action, whether it's using junk as a weapon for the Rock-It Launcher, picking off enemies at a distance with the old-fashioned Sniper Rifle, or mangling groups of highly-mutated, fiery, giant fire ants with a Gatling gun. Thinking about how much detail goes into a game, most people suggest that the programmers just took a bunch of random items and flung it over the place, but that isn't the case. They take individual items and place it in the appropriate places, and fix everything to make it look realistic. I found a cherry bomb in a toilet in some house, in the middle of nowhere. THAT couldn't have been by accident.
With all of this rambling done, I give Fallout III a 10/10 for overachieving greatness, and I hope to expect the same from the next of their "arts".
your right and i give fallout 9/10 because there's always room for improvement over the market place on live or the internet (mods) i just wish they didn't have a lvl cap...
I feel it is a great game with a lot of ways to go forward in it. I really like the fact that you can solve a quest or mission in almost any way you like, many blame it for being like Oblivion, and it is really like Oblivion with guns, but that is another reason why I like it
I played the game full and I am also mad about the 20lv limit but in the first-addon"Operation Anckortage" will be 25lv or 30lv will be a lots of new weapons but sad(((( there will not be California and all missions of the original Fallout 3. I understand new region ALASKA but it's 5-6hours of gameplay thay could left the original mission, and do ALASKA just a new location, and the main mission in the addon they can do just another quest with a big gameplay+)) I am not RIGHT?
they are coming out with expansions planned in january, February, and March. One will be defending Alaska against the Chinese, one is another Main quest and I don't know the Third one But Fallout 3 is an awesome game 9.5/10 not perfect but you can't miss it.
its an amazing game and i give it a 9/10 but i kind of wish they would have overhauled the engine before releasing the game the oblivion engine is pushed to the extreme in this game and i've encountered a lot of graphic glitches
When they added the trophies in Version 1.1 (for the PS3), they made it so that you do not get any trophies you've already earned. I completed damn near every side quest I was going to at that point, so that was a dosage of fail.
