Im not sure if this is in the right topic area but, I just wanted to bring up this topic of the Detroit Lions going
0-16. One of the worst records in NFL history.

One of the worst records in NFL history.

Actually, the worst record in NFL history. The only other teams to have not won a single game in a season were all experimental teams in their first years. Even then, their records were only 0-10.

Well, it is really sad that in week 17 of the season, a lot of the players on the Detroit Lions actually wanted to lose their last game... =)

That's to true...
And it's so sad...
I could probably do better than them if I had to play NFL teams...

Hope they strike gold in the draft. Not a Lions fan, but I hate to see anyone do that poorly. Well, anyone but the Raiders that is.

Once they were 0-14, betting that they would be shutout was almost 100% Some people I knew made some bank of off that bet.

Tampa Bay went 0-14 in its first season (1976). They were the last team to go winless until the Lions this year.

In other interesting NFL news, the New England Patriots went 11-5, yet did not make the playoffs. Because of how the divisions and conferences are set up, 4 teams with worse records made the playoffs (including 8-8 San Diego Chargers). This is the second time in the NFL that an 11-5 team did not reach the post season.

Actually, the early Cowboys went 0-10, as well as a couple other teams in their first year.

I thought it was pretty funny. The lions has a couple of chances to win but they blew it. I hope their franchise turns around like the falcons. Maybe their draft choice well be a really good QB. Id feel sorry for him though.

Well, last year, the Dolphins were 1-15, and this year, they're going to the playoffs!!!

Eat that, Brett Farve!!!

If the Lions can get a good coach, good QB/team leader, etc, etc. They can change their franchise around.

They still have a crap record. Luck of the draw, basically.

Crap record??!! 11-5? Thats good. It really made me mad that the Chargers made it to the playoffs over New England! I think the teams with the best records should go!

Weird, I thought it was worse than that. Hmm...
