When I was one of the most active members on AG, I use to love these forums. You could get on and there would always be a great topic to converse on, or to laugh about. I would enjoy an occasional debate, and a forum game, or discussing a current event. As most of you know I took a lengthy break from AG and now getting back I am very disappointed to see that the forums are diminishing.

I see so many This VS. That threads, and so many Dont you just hate this, and lots of do you think that is..., and its getting pretty ridiculous!

I dont want to sound like a nagging mod, but seriously lets think a little more deeply than "CATS VS. DOGS!?!?" and get some actual thought provoking topics. The forums are turning into one big blob of spam, so lets try to fix it. Try to make topics more than two sentences long. Make it a good two or three paragraphs about what your trying to say, it just makes more room for discussion. Try giving some background information or some websites to look at to make things more clear or humerus. It will make the forums better all together and everyone should enjoy themselves more. I hope you will all try to work with me on this one and make the AG forums as fun as they use to be.
Thankyou,
-Red

Good work Red
I completely agree with you there.
I want a good topic again too.
We Need to have them at least two paragraphs or else like you said its kinda like spam.
I'm going to consider a thread that doesn't have at least two paragraphs in it SPAM unless they have said all they can which I can understand.

Agreed,
Blkasp

I'm one of the most active here, I spend almost the whole day here. I also find it hard too find good topics. It's extremely hard to make AP when there is no place to talk, just places to post "catz becoz their cute"

Dude, when I first joined, people crowded around the World Events and Politics because there was always some stuff to discuss and converse about there.

But now...
I mean, people don't even work on their spelling and grammar anymore when their posting! It's ridiculous.

*Cough Cough* Supersmiley work on your grammar please.
Capital letter! I not i. I'll not ill.
You are not ill you must say I'll or else people will think you are "ill."
This must be the things that firetail is talking about.

So please Supersmiley work on your grammar (capital letters xD)

Signed,
Blkasp

Not just him, everyone.
We should get posts deleted if they spell or pronounce even one word wrong, lol. Joking.
Also try not to use abbreviations.

Ok, dude don't be a douche about it. Complaning about a mis capitalized letter really isn't cause for, and becuse it was off topic, was spam.

Now then, I don't actually have trouble finding places to post. Once you have a few good threads going, you can get a very good amount. If you consider everything under 2 paraghraphs spam as far as new topics go, then half the forums will become spam. They are not spam for the most part, and should not be worryed about by users. *COUGH*YUO PEOPLE*COUGH* Becuse the mods will see to it in time. Now then, I'm leaving before I say something i shouldn't.

I actually agree with redbedhead. But not to the causes. The threads aren't the main problem which i think lies with the users. In the old days there seemed to be more users who wrote longer/better posts. Thats not happening to the same extent now for some reason.

I certainly hope I am not part of the cause of this, I generally make my reply too long to avoid spam and such. And I focus on grammar and spelling obsessively. I think part of the problem right now is all of the people Sonny2 has drawn to this site, they might not know as much as someone more experienced. But yeah, better grammar would be nice, and less people always Talking Like This ( All Words Start With Caps)or like this(bold) OR JUST THIS!!!!!!1!(caps lock) But you will always have people who overreact to a simple ban or something, look at that "Demonpriest" dude, he went insane for a month and spammed with obscene pictures just because he got banned.

I also hope I didn't cause such ANGER in yourself. I mean, I have started some...say, failing...threads. However, they were all tried and true on other sites, and they all went off without a hitch! Plus, I only make threads I think will have some people on this site think more than one step ahead (one of the reasons is that I usually make so many steps in my threads, no one "understands" them. Also, I never am able to get anyone to notice mine in the first place, for some reason.)

So, if there's anything I can do to help, you know where to look, man! Nothing to lose your cool over. You could have some people lock the threads that have that as their topic, or something...Get a mod to look at that (or LOCK at that...haaaaaaaaw....bad joke). I mean, there's not much pof a way, being a common person, to do much about that (unless you want to rise against all of the idiot posters.

I love the irony within this sentence.

I'd love to see more thought-through posts, but when more people join, the average intelligence will apparently drop. Just try to keep the good threads alive.

Will do, Zophia! And I see what you mean with the Irony. lol

Anyways, I do appen to agree with the IQ-dropping statement, but there's not much you can do about that. I mean, with all the grandiose idiots in the forums, there will be an endless supply of stupid threads... Odds are, if one get's locked, than they'll just make a thread with the same topic in mind. There's no stopping that fact....

...unless... What if there were a site made for all of those people that ARE known to be intellegent, and for them to make posts? Sounds kinda segregated from how I explain it, but I mean, something like an ARMOR GOLD CLUB site. Like, a club for those who actually know what they're saying on a widely-discussed topic, and something that has some meaning or thought behind it... I don't know... However, it wouldn't urt to try it out sometime. lol

I do know that Armor is a site for anyone (except for the criminally insane) and that there are rules to the site. However, they don't seem to have much affect on the threads people can make. And it get's kinda depressing. It's a shame that the rules couldn't be more enforced on that note.

Maybe there could be a special forum for only people that are Knights or Lords... or other limits like that.

Hahahaha, owned.

Yes and no. Its not that the average intelligence will drop, its that the average age will drop. Kids under 13 are already here, but more and more will join overtime as well. Its those young *rascals* that are more interested in game sites such as these than the older people.

If you notice, most of the spam topics and spam comments are left by people under 13. How can I tell? They usually have their real age in their about. Or on YouTube.

But the older users, higher in age tend to be the ones who have lengthy posts with correct grammar. But I too fail my grammar at times. :|

Well, you know what they (meaning me) say!

if everyone was a mod, who would moderate them?

Also there is no truly efficient moderating service, it is either understaffed or over-worked.
