"Sex sells, but so does crack that doesn't make it right"-Quoted from a documentary
You think that sex is being over used by the media and our culture today?
Discussion Points: 1. Is sex being over used by the media? 2. Is this being degrading on people about their body image or how they feel about themselves? 3. Do you ever think there will stop being an emphasis on sex in commercials and ads... 4. Do you think children want to experiment with sex at earlier ages from what they see on TV? *Note* Not my opinions just discussion points.
Exactly, i can see how a young kid could be impressionable, but if they belive lots of what they hear on tv, then the parent should fix up, talk to the kid and teach him some stuff let him know what the real world is like. Plus i dont let my kids watch too much tele in case they get hooked, they like to run around a lot so i just play with them in the garden most of the time, its a pretty simple solution.
At least modern children are able to see the differance between reality and fiction much better than most older people. They are btter to change the "arena" (psychology words ftw) much faster, leaving some really old people back at the fiction... Not able to explain better, as I should sleep.
Yeah... I tend to portrait children like that in my rpgs and stories... I guess I might be old fashioned. but sadly it is a fact that children loose their childhood when they are old enough to have an oppoinion for themselves...
It comes all to soon. I am afraid they will become full blown cynics soon. Then again, i myself was a very cynical child. What goes around comes around.

Parents should be more responsible. That's my opinion though.
If it was not too late, I would sit and read Innocents again, just because it seem soo relevant...
Just saw a programme some hours ago, about parents being too responsible, and the children being afraid to tell them so, because that would make them worry as well.

True there is a fine line between irresponsibility and being over the top but shouldn't people make a stance somehow in some way instead of doing nothing?
Prostitutes are illegal. Lets keep it that way. Selling sex is selling your body. What if you get someone pregnant? Who would the babies father be (if she doesn't do an abortion, which she probably will) .

Thanks for not reading the OP. Sex sells. In commercials, if there is a little naked skin, the indication of something sexual, or good looking people, then the thing will probably be sold with succes. It has nothing to do with prostitutes........
