What I mean by that is the story of Jesus is similar to that of other religions.

Born on December 25th
Born of a Virgin
Birth accompanied by a star in the east
Upon birth adored by 3 kings
Teacher at the age of 12
Baptized at 30
12 disciples
Performed miracles
Betrayed
Crucified
Dead for 3 Day
Then resurrected

Dozens of other religions have a god or messiah that has some or all of these same attributes. A good example would be the Egyptian sun god Horus (3000 B.C)

Here's a like that will explain more
It's a movie, you have to skip to about 15 minutes in.

So what does everyone think of this?

December 25th is just symbolism
The three kings didn't arive for 3-4 years
He wasn't dead for three days
Resurection not similar to any religion of the time.

Many religions contain some sort of Noah like flood. And some scholars believe that more modern religions, in this case christianity, are based on more ancient pagan styke religions. 25th December was chosen because it was an existing pagan holiday making the transition after conversion easier. Though I kinda agree with samy 25th December is totally wrong for the date of Jesus' birth. The shepherds would not have been watching their herd in winter.

Horus is an exceptionally poor example of this. Read Egyptian mythology, then compare with this list. Please don't bring up points that have been universally rejected by modern scholarship.

actually it was never said that 3 kings visited him on his birth, just that 3 of the kings brought stuff for him. There could have been more.

astronomers have actually decided the star would've been visible in israel in april. the reason Christmas is december 25th is because constantine wanted to obliterate pagan religion and the 25th was the day to celebrate the shortest day of the year, so he covered it up with Christmas.

I wouldn't say he covered it up, nor did he want to obliterate religions that he himself practiced before. There were quite a few pagan religions that celebrated holidays at this time, so it would have been easier to put it at this date. For many Christians at the time, too, it had special symbolism as well: It was as the resurrection of the sun after it had to its lowest point.

umm the truth is jesus prob wasn't born or died on those dates.. The birth was a coverup for the pagans Winter solstice gods... Which of course had pretty brutal killings in order to praise them... Therefore the christian church prob said his b-day was on Dec 25, whereas it probably was sumtime 2 months later or before... Most of the other tales are prob fiction... This is all coming from a christian, and i gotta say that most religions lie on a sh't load of stuff to cover up some pretty horrid truths...

Jesus wasn't born on Christmas day. Like you said, it was a pagan cover-up. Due to the fact that shepherds were in the fields, it was early spring or late fall.

Non Christians think that Christians are annoying and their believes are dumb. It doesn't mean they are atheist.

I'm narrow minded? I accept all religions and their believes for their followers. You on the other hand can only except that your religion is the true one and everyone else is damned to hell. You call people of different religions Atheists as if you know for a fact only you could be right. Christians have killed more in their name than all other religions combined. They force their religion on others and they call you ignorant when you don't agree with them.
