Why is everyone leaving AG and why is everyone spamming and why are the moderators not finding most of the "spam" and why does it seem like not all the new people no about foruming
There will always be spammers, and people leaving and joining AG, and new people probably don't know about the forums or just don't like posting on forums.
but it doesn't seem like there are enough people joining, and if they did (not really true but) Some people only want to become moderators and help run the site don't become and then they become dormint for a whole another generation.
According to the U.S. Eastern time that's on my old watch, it's almost midnight. That's when little boys and girls go to bed on weekends, or 2 hours earlier than that. It's natural for there to be little users than there are at the day time.
Well, I actually think the numbers are growing... Last month, the total number was 178K, and now it's almost to 200K.. Do you mean activity in the forums? There could be a number of reasons. I believe the theory that there aren't as many interesting topics as there were a while ago.
or there are the same stuff in a different label you mean?
Yes the numbers are growing but how many of those people do you see everyday ( every hour highest ever was 5000-10000)(lowest 10-5000) estimation wise.
The reason why the forums seem dead is because every other thread is a dumb question asking "Who do like more? What is better? How would you? Would you?" and so on. Everything is a question.
I don't mind a good question once in a while but people ask the most random questions in only one sentence. They don't ask things that make you think or ask things that are inturesting.
That is my theory on why the forum seems dead. Too many simple, random, short questions that you can't really get into a conversation in... just post your opinion and never go back to the thread again.
Just to add to NoNameC68: And most awnsers in those topics are also way to short.
I hardly comment on games or replie on forum posts becouse i think: If you dont have anything constructive to write its better to write nothing at all. I also find that 90% of all topics made dont bring any good to this site at all and are on the border of beeing spammy threaths.
It useally starts with the person who starts the topic if they keep it short 99% of the replies will be short aswell. If someone starts a topic about: What do you like? Others awnser: pie But if the starter would have wrote: What do you like? Why do you like that so much? and please be constructive. I think most others would replie better aswell.
It might be a simple expl. but thats just the way it is.
everyone is just sad, because it's not baseball season anymore. Don't fret, it will pick up again. Go Cards!!!
seriously, NO... in my oppinion it`s because there aren`t any like normal threads where it`s fun for everybody... There are too many many wannabe intelligent people here... they don`t know anything, but they spam ( Seriously ) threads about global warming and such, but they don`t no shit about it.. I hate posers, so GTFO...
forums will always have spammers, which leads to people leaving, next question? I agree with NoNameC68, some of the topics are on the pointless side, but the reason why most of us are still here is because of the occasional good topic. A way I think we may be able to fix this is by making topics that are more narrowed down("What do you like about this), not just a flat out question like "what do you like?"
but there are always less people making topics to or making the page full of "What do you like about this" and we instead ignore the good ones completely and then when someone makes the same thing up because they can't find the forum anywhere. So they make the same forum and then someone says "That one has already been made", so then the maker says "ok" and that remade forum is deleted. So where did the old one go? and why do less people go I am starting to think that the good old forums are going away because the "What do you like about this" is making this place out of good Ideas and just making the forums a junk pile.
People come and go. Most of the people I've known when I first registered are long gone.
The forums, well... There just aren't much more members dedicated to forum posting, especially good forum posting with meaning in each post they make. I guess it's just one of the times when the forums are low.
