To all of you who have gotten to level 100 in Gem Craft... I have beaten all the levels and secret levels, and I am still stuck in the 80s. Please share your secrets and strategies to level up!
and by the way, for getting the lvl 7 gem amulet, just create 2 level 6 gems, combine them, and then combine them with 6 other gems of any level (I just use whatever gem is available in the same color) - that way you have created 7 gems without worrying much about it.
This is at some level advice that is hard to understand and if misunderstood, it could be really, really bad.
Pure gems have unique abilities. Green gems spread poison, Lime gems hit multiple targets, red gems splash, orange gems add to your mana pool for every hit, etc...
As the gem level increases, the ability gathers strength. SO the ability of a pure level 7 (or 8) gem is *much* stronger than a lvl 1 gem.
WHen you combine two colors in a gem, the abilities drop to 70% of their original for that level, combine 3 gems and the abilities drop to 60%. After that, any additional colors lose their abilities.
(I have not really figures out what specifically the mixed gems and pure gem skills bring to the table, but I know they are important to have as soon as you unlock them.).
My strategy is to never combine colored gems under level 6 and even rarely above that level - only if I really, really need the extra hit points of the gem and I don't care that much about the gems' abilities anymore (like I'm going to use the gem as a bomb).
You get amulet points for creating many gems - these points I usually score by creating lvl 1 gems late in the game, then combining them multiple times by holding down Ctrl while clicking on the combine spell and then on the gems. These gems I then throw as bombs to earn another amulet for gem bombs thrown. You also get an amulet for greating more than 7 gems at lvl 7 and higher, so try and do that as well.
in another thread there was a description how to produce a "erpetuum mobile", which enables you to produce any amount of mana, as long a you keep your computer running... I tried it out, it actually works, so nothing special about 1 million mana. Funny enough, if your mana pool hits one quadrillion, it is not shown any more (just "Mana:" without numbers).
Concerning the pure gem/dual gem mastery, they improve the pure gem/dual gem modifiers, which are shown beloe the other statistics when you hold your cursor over the gem.
And if you have trouble with the 1st epic battle, just replay some of the earlier battles to get a higher level and better skills, than it gets much easier. If you really got the hang of the game, it is even possible to make a walkthrough from the very beginning with glowing frame score in every single level.
my record for the most mana in one battle is over 1 million. no cheats. BEAT THAT
If you mean that the limit to the mana pool was over 1 mil, that's do-able at the higher levels, not too easy, but certainly doable. If you have actually collected 1 mil mana, the only way I've ever managed that is the "erpetual game" with orange gems. That is simply boring after a while.
how do you get glowing frames in middle to late levels? I'm right before like literally right before 4th epic boss and i'm level 48 and I can't get higher to get maxed high level starter gems and pure gem mastery but I need to. please help me please
so for me I have 4 sections, the first section with the first epic boss 2nd section 2nd epic boss 3rd section and 3rd epic boss and 4th section with 4th epic boss, I'm at the 4th section but I don't but I barely have any from late 3rd section to end of 4th section glowing framed and all the ones before that are glowing framed.
Really it all boils down to "mana management" the point of which is to raise mana when ever possible, each game you should end with 11-20k mana and on epic levels 30k+. Thats really what it is
