After reading a lot of posts in the "Christianity vs. Atheism" thread, I decided to start a healthy political debate. Just debate about political events and ideals, and don't hold back.

I got one.....

So what do you people think of Bush (Besides the hate) Now that he is leaving the white house, the US has to be happy? Right?

But I will miss games like:

Bush shootout/Royal Rampage/Hotdog Bush/ ect ect...

You must wounder though, with all this hype around Obama, the little faults will shine in the light and grow to bigger hights. Media will devour it, and cause explosions...

okay, I'm back. I think that the main reason people are so incensed about what happened is because Hamas used the same propaganda techniques as the Viet Cong did. They set up camps in hospitals and schools like the Viet Cong did, so that the world could grow to hate Israel. What Israel did was in no means good, but when the propaganda from the media about Israel raiding schools and hospitals is wiped away, then it looks like any other war.

Obama has a real crisis on his lap. I share a lot of his ideals of his, though, but I am more of a moderate.

Israel itself has always been a problem country in many ways. It is basically just what the US set up after WWII to put all of the Holocaust survivors in, and the current Administration could've picked a better place to put it.

I think that this will get locked, but let's keep this running as long as we can.

Obama has quite the pile of work to do, and he's started it by closing Gitmo, what do you think of that mates?

closing Gitmo has a lot of pros and cons, but I think that it wasn't a terrible move. This will give us a chance to look at each prisoner case-by-case, which will definitely improve the USA's standing in the world. That and, the real terrorists who get put in maximum-security prisons might the vigilante treatment from some of the more dangerous inmates. That's what happened with Jeffrey Dahmer way back when. Even some of the other murderers thought that he was evil, so they beat him up until he was put in the infirmary. Then they killed him when he was lying on his hospital bed. The same thing might happen with some of the terrorist inmates.

True, it wouldn't suprise me if some of the other inmates beat and kill some of the terrorists.

Yes, it affects the cuban people more than the government an din 50 years hasn't done much to bring democracy to Cuba.
