I made this thread, because I've seen a lack of emotions toward girls. I read a puberty thread on her, and it's quite obvious that some chaps on AG here, don't know how to keep a girlfriend, or how to break up with them.

Here's some tips that can help you out chaps:

1. Never make your girlfriend do anything she doesn't want to do. If you want a kiss, and she says "no", she doesn't mean maybe in a little bit. When she says "no" you'd better lay off. So never make the focus of having a girlfriend just to have someone to practice your moves on, girls are not to be used for that purpose. They are humans as well, and they have a say in what they want or will do.

2. Get to know what your girlfriend likes by asking her friends. Surprise her with her favorite candy or movie as a gift, and leave it in her locker. Girl's enjoy getting gifts, and she will like you that you take an interest in her.

Post some tips you have on this half of the subject, and make sure they are appropriate.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Now for how to break up with a girl, but make it so she doesn't totally hate you.

1. Never call or text your soon to be ex, and say that you two are done, she will think that you are too important to tell her to her face. So instead, take her for a walk around a park or garden, and tell her to her face that you don't think that things are working out.

2. Never have a friend tell your soon to be ex that you two are through, do the end part of 1 instead.

If you have any tips on this subject, post them below.

I hope that this will help out some chaps here on AG

I have never had a girlfriend and there are currently no girls in my life that are interested in me, or I them. All the girls I had liked from the past are gone from my life.

I have never mistreated a girl though.

@Psycholncarnate, that's good to hear, that you've never mistreated a girl part.

There's noting I dislike more than guys that mistreat or beat girls. It's like "that's cool, you beat up a girl, I bet you feel like a big strong man now don't you?" When if it was the girl beating him up, I'am sure he wouldn't lick it a lick.

@Supersmiley, what did you do when she told everyone that?

I do know girls remember little things that you don't think are really that bad. They can take little jokes seriously. Even when you say it when you are young. Even if is suppose to be an obvious joke.

It can come back to haunt you later in life...

Adding to the Part II list, if YOU want to break up with her, do and keep doing hideous, repulsive actions that you wouldn't do in the first place. It doesn't have to be completely horrendous, just things that your girlfriend doesn't like, you do. Just keep doing it, she'll eventually think you're just messing with her, and she'll call it quits. That way, you don't feel bad about hurting her feelings, and you won't have to see her cry; instead, you get to see her feel like an idiot for ever dating you

Can this be a wife thread too? :'(

That it can, girls can remember things that I told them way back in grade school.

Like the time I told a girl in kindergarten that I thought she was pretty, she still remembered that, and I graduate this year. They have such an amazing memory...

And don't. Go into. Long distance. Relationships. Unless you want the trouble.

We had a bunch of issues, me and my mate (the word 'girlfriend' never felt right to use), but I'm pretty sure we could have worked them out somehow if it wasn't for that distance... */emo mod*

I have had a gf. She was nice to me, and i too her. It was just that she was not as mature as i had thought. But I never had to have the pain of telling her to leave me. She left me first. And it hurt, but it really helps for future relationships. Yu learn from your mistakes.

I am not saying that you should go though gfs like trial and error, but that if you have had a girl freind, and you are starting a new relationship, you can use some of the things that went wrong last time, and fix them.

I accidentally called a girl fat that I liked (Not exactly, but it basically sounded like I did) to evade the question when someone asked if I liked her, in front of her.

I was really young, but she remembered that later in life when I met up with her again in college...

@RugganBor, you bring up an excellent point. Girl's aren't like clothes, (bear with me on this, it's just a metaphor) you can't have a red shirt on, then decide the yellow one is better, and then go through your closet, and throw on the green shirt.

I'am glad you brought that up

Also, take this a day at a time, don't rush headlong into it, because you will take things too fast, and you will end up breaking up with each other. It's as simple as that

This is why couples start off better when they are friends...like, for a generous amount of time... I don't know WHAT this one girl back in the day was thinking, but she let a guy date her after they had just met 2 days beforehand. "But I really like him, he's hot!". Don't like a girl/guy because of their appearance. That's not how relationships go far. I'm lucky to get both beauty AND personality. =P But I would rather go the later, because you actually connect with them 10x better.

Normally, it isn't too good to have relationships at a younger age, because it usually ends up in breaking up and 1 or 2 broken hearts (or maybe none, but rarely) Anyway, good tips.

Technically that's what dating is about. You find out what you like and don't like in someone. I'm not saying get rid of your partner as soon as something wrong comes up; simply that you need to, and probably will, date multiple people for at least a couple months at a time before you figure out what you really want.
