The first ad Gantic showed, was a makeout between a man and a woman. Yet, it's so hard to distinguish that with cartoon characters. The second one was worse than the first, but is still not deemed worthy of inappropriate-ness. Has anyone ever seen a Betty Boop cartoon? Back then, cartoons like that were acceptable. Today, I think, moms take it a little too far. People just need to get used to it, like fst said.
What exactly does that mean? The 60s, 70s, and 80s (and 90s) weren't that long ago. Then again, most people here were born in 90s and live with 00s (?) haircuts. Some guys have always had longer hair.
I meant more of the 'emo' movement. Where guys have longer dark hair. There have always been guys with long hair, but that type of cut is a little more recent. And many guys have it now.
I doubt the users are offended as much as they don't want their younger siblings and parents thinking other things, i.e. if it's not appropriate for something like school, then it's not going to be much more appropriate at home (like exposed midriffs). It doesn't give a sense of propriety about the site that they are on.
I understand that it would be more of an issue with other people seeing it. But I don't know how much it really happens that others are getting upset about it. Like Fritz said, it's nothing worse than you would see on tv.
And on most any other site you go to, you will find sites of REAL people naked or exposed. Or even just being lewd. This is very tame and is not real people.
It's a special kind of flash blocker for the latest version of Firefox. All you have to do is download this free plugin, and it will immediately disable all micromedia flash programs (after you restart Firefox, lol).
--What about the games I wanna play?
All programs and ads that use flash will be blocked, and an arrow, sort of like a youtube play button arrow, will be shown in the middle. If you want to use that program, click on it, like you want to "lay" it. Your game will be played, and all those pesky ads, like IMVU, will still be blocked out. It's hardly noticeable! =)
~~Steps~~
1. Click link 2. click left box 3. Click link second from the top box (the first link is a newer, untested program that says there will be bugs if you use it). So click on " Install Flashblock 1.5.8 ". 4. After installation, restart Firefox 5. Enjoy your ad-free life!
