My opinion: Religion and something like 'God' just show the weakness of mankind. There might be a 'God' but just for them who need one. I don't need one, for me there is no 'God'. Sorry for the bad language, it's hard to express myself with my broken-English=)
Jesus was not a messenger of God! He is part of GOd. I don't know why God let Hitler kill so many jews. Back before Jesus died on the cross he swallowed a family up in the earth when the Isrealites were wandering in the desert.
Ooh, ooh, neat "God" concept: "The Last Question" by Isaac Asimov had me wanting to go curl up under my bed for a week ; )
As for the conventional God. Meh, Karma, Fate, Chance, God.... They're all the same to me.
It really shouldn't matter what you believe or if what you believe is "true" or not. The only thing that matters is how you live your life because of it (that's not right, but can't think of how to word it better)
People get so concerned over whose religion is best, that they lose sight of the whole point: be a good person. At the heart of all religions, that is the main belief. They all just have different ideas of how.
So i have only read the first 3 or 4 pages and i dont know weather or not someone has brought this up but a huge part of believing in a religion is having faith. Even though there is really no way to prove God exist and creadted the earth and life as we know it i have faith that he has. As i experience Gods glory my faith gets stronger and stronger.
actually Zorae it does matter if you serve God or not. Being a good person doesn't mean you can get to heaven or anything. there is a verse in the bible that says do not store up your treasures on earth I forgot the rest but it says something like But store treasures up in heaven. Being a good person will not help you get to heaven.
The phrase you mentioned, Paintballer, means that one must not be greed and store up real money, they should store up kindness and all that stuff. It does not mention believing in God or not.
