Well, we don't know how mch time passed between Sonny and Sonny 2, and we know that Sonny and Veradux were traveling the entire time, so they could have gone very far between the two games.
I doubt they travelled "very far" and still were unable to find a tape player until then. I think Sonny 2 starts within a week at most of Sonny 1's ending.
The main thing I want to know is this: Who is Felicity? And what is this Utopia she mentioned?
Has anything came to mdn that The name Sonny could also mean Son? Louis seemed alot like a father figure, listen to every (And I mean EVERY) word he says in sonny before he dies, and that sunlight thing is very good - If you notice in Zone one the sun shines through to the prison - Meaning it's been at least a day, and sunlight can mean alot of things, goodness, the end of were-wolves, considering what's happening i'm thinking that Louis was on a mission - You are my only Sunshine could mean that the world is going through a Dark Age, thus alot of people thinking it's madness go berserk - Thus the fighting in the City, I know it's a long shot but still it's a good one
Not to mention in Z1 of Sonny did it all happen - Sun down had to do with something - I think that what is happening is the combined things - Werewolf - Zombie New Alcatraz's Experiments Utopia's Intense Beam Sundown
I think it's proving something here - Not to mention magic, that has to have something to do with it
I think that's the moon that's shining through in the prison... Also, going on the night/day thing, in zone 2 the moon is huge and blood red. Clicking it, Sonny says that "Something is amiss with the sky. It seems as if the night is lasting forever."
So it could well be that it is always night there (a rather literal Dark Age) and that Sonny is the one who will fix the world. There's NEVER any sunlight, and this Utopia is the one place where the sun can get through... That intense beacon of light looks bright enough to be the collective sunlight of the entire area. =o
Z1: This is no regular priion, there seems to be blood tracks all over the place. This particular one is still fresh, and it smells very strange. Definitely not something natural...
Z2: [The well is] not working anymore. Luckily I have other ways to maintain my hydration. But the blood here... it seems familiar.
Z3: There's Tomato Soup, Broccoli Spaghetti... and the rest of the menu is covered in blood. But there's a strange smell. It smells of chlorine.
Z4: (haven't seen any blood trail here, but the green slime seems noteworthy)
Z5: Here it is again... This blood trail. Where is it coming from? Where does it lead? I'm definately not going down there to find out...
So what do we have? Well... a trail of unnatural blood that smells like chlorine that seems to either be everywhere or to be following Sonny. Btw, here's a fun fact: chlorine gas is greenish and toxic, but easily tolerable with the use of a gas mask. =) Sounds a lot like Z4 to me.

The ground in Z4 is green slime, and anyone who walks through the cave will be indistinguishable from a zombie.
Does this, along with decreased brain activity, not sound like the zombies in the game? I believe that it's quite possible that the Baron feeds off of/is surrounded by (created?) some sort of gas that is similar to chlorine, which turns people into zombies! The delusional beliefs thing could explain how he amassed a cult... and Z4 could be his lair (which would be why there isn't blood there, as he had a chance to feed off the gas at its source.
Any ideas? I kinda threw my brain against a wall with that one... =D

BumperBo that actually is quite a convincing theory right there,as it all fits together.If you look at the map,there is a place where light is beaming down from the sky. as well.
I'm pretty sure it was Felecity killing people. Don't you remember in a cutscene that's in Z5 there's people talking and a dead body falls through the ceiling and you see somebody running away. That was 100% sure Felecity.
I just thought she switched it with some random tape to annoy Sonny... but I guess all these theories could be right, I'm sure we'll find out for sure eventually.
If she did she wanted to hint them to come to the "Utopia" But when the miners came the body did fall and I belevie that the person is not a person but,... a zombie.

Hey, i'm new but I think I have a slight idea on each method you've used.... I do it by steps (Long ones) to not you of them all.... Zone 1 - Veraduax is with you, he had stolen a medical kit in which you meet him in Sonny one, he is being chased by the ZPCI - something might've lured him to you, and something lured Veradaux to the base or the ZCPI, because well, he didn't just "get it". Zone 1 - Sonny 2 The blood tracks show alot of thrashing once you look at it on the walls, the blood on the floor shows that they were stabbed in the neck or any other place that bleeds insanely, this could tell you that the ZCPI is trying to maintain mutants such as Frankie within New Alcatraz, thus the chlorifine (Sorry about spelling) which would really help calm them down, too much even. Zone 2 - Sonny 2 If you're looking alot of these blood tracks lead to places you wouldn't go, (in zone five one is in the underground sewers) the well is frozen and dark, before Felicity runs away u fight her inside the frozen village (btw Krin no offense but her car was in the frozen Village and the fight setting was in the prison) meaning that she is no suspect to fighting anyone else... The body clearly shows that she's got someone, Utopia is the key to something, Sonny is being lured by someone, that man may also be a help to her - possibly an insurgent! Zone 3 - Sonny 2 - If you look where the blood is, it's at a food sign, showing that the Zombie or whoever is after what is hungry, helping the fact that someone is luring you, it could mean that Louis might be alive as a zombie - and Felicity or the ZCPI has assassinated someone, preferably the ZCPI which then again in one of the compartments has letters and numbers, some crossed out - the ZCPI used numbers and letters in their artic uniforms.... the man wearing the hat and glasses on the train tells you that he's been there a long time, just buying and selling due to financial terms.... Which helps Zone 5 after you beat the Mayor a plan, an unknown man saying something about econamy - he was draining money of everyone which started the wars there... Zone 4 - Sonny 2 This is tricky, the man with a hat and glasses came off the train, meaning that something may have been bothering him - but when you came on he took his chances on many, again due to financial terms, now let's not forget that these are artifacts.... He may be an outsider helping Roald or possibly part of the war! Sonny is still being lured, the illusions don't really help with anything but when he seen Shunny the others were happy and Sonny wasn't the happiest.... This could be a reminder on himself when he awoken back on Sonny 1, or it could be his relative (as a reminder somehow), Veradaux may be him, the heavy hallucionations are just fogging it, meanwhile there's no blood there.... The ZCPI have not been there, or Felicity - they've taken different paths.... Zone 5 - Sonny 2 As said from others the blood tracks are in the sewage area, which even if you found it you could just assume it was a battle between the Council and the townspeople (Council also meaning police etc).... the ZCPI are eliminating key townspeople (Felicity's body she was holding) to help against the rebellion, Felicity wanted the mayor dead too! This now means that Felicity is on your side - Now you take him out, you find a plan about the econamy - The city will prosper and now you can move on.... The ZCPI are still on your tails, but left you in the city nearly always - This could say that New Alcatraz AND the ZCPI are outlaws!
OK This explains alot. Along with the Daylight thing I might know what's going on, the Assassinations are stopping people conducting their research, meanwhile zombies explained above are looking for Utopia, which yet again from above says that Sonny could be being lured somewhere - Again Utopia, not to mention that Felicity's assassinations, she could be after someone who made the literal Dark Age - Possibly the Mayor, and trying to get to Utopia herself, she also had a map - It could've been inside the tape itself, who knows? If it wasn't then the song explains quite a bit - Louis (Who btw seemed like a father figure, thus the name SONny) night know Sonny became a Zombie - He basically has given him a cure, the Metabai he could smell (Check Tutoral for some clues on this.) which meant he could smell Sonny, and the plan that said the Mayor was a big part of - The Economy, in Zone 3 and 4 the man was saying there was difficult times with money now, which above explains the fighting in Zone 5 - What is their plan? Are they madmen trying to block out the sun? Or are they masterminds trying to conquer the earth, both maybe? It could be anything, please say something about this!
Soz for Spam but BumberBo I don't think that all is the best we can find - The Chlorifine doesn't turn people into zombies, I think you're taking a way-too wild guess there, But what happens is that the Chlorifine (Used in Z5 by Specialists) is a sedation - the slime on the ground could be an illusion itself - the Dopamine is good - because looking at it you can WEAR things you DON'T see, so that says alot there, and to mention the light inside the cave, no1 really stays there so how does it stay there? I think that if u combine everything inside of their u can see something, Gorillas, more Gorillas, A really cool Wolf and 3 monsters, and a Zombie dressed in flamboyant clothes, they're all signs of nature - This could be where they get Chlorifine, and also it could help explain the symptoms - They all have odd Scars on themselves, exept the Zombie which is undead - it could be a stage of transformation, that's how the Zombie was their! Woohoo I figured something good out
