Ummmmm... Highfire.. Most of the monsters in that cave are enemies designed by forum members on KrinLabs so I highly doubt they are symbolic of anything.
And I realize my theory was insane and highly unlikely... it's just I'm trying to throw out ideas hoping they can be tweaked or new insight of some sort can be gained. =D
Dark_in_the_Light, I find that answer a little too obvious... After talking to the author a bit on the forums the tape being fake just doesn't seem like his style.
I think the whole chlorine thing makes complete sense. Also, after reading the posts on this forum, i think the evidence is very strong that Louis was Sonny's father. The idea that Felicity is working for the ZPCI is complete nonsense to me. I believe that she is just another zombie looking for Utopia.
Okay, now to the topic of my post. I think that in the beginning of Sonny 1, Sonny and Louis are on a cruise ship when a synthetic virus of some sort is released. The captain dies and the ship crashes, which knocked Sonny unconscious. Louis is immune and Sonny, having inherited some immunity from Louis, is semi-immune. The ZPCI tracks the virus to the ship and comes in an attempt to destroy the source. This would explain why they appear to be wearing masks of some sort. Sonny, now alone, uses a small boat to get to shore. After that I'm still working out.
BTW, the way I'm explaining it, it seems alot like the movie Quarantine, if anyone has seen it.

It could be something to do with New Alcatraz, they could've made the disease, if you looked Frankie looked ALOT like a Zombie to me! Felicity working for the ZCPI is probably a bunch of garbage on trash on rubbish in a dumb lol, it's not really that stupid I just wanted to say that I'm only saying that this makes alot more sense to the other ones, Alpha do you mind explaining Quarantine? I know what it means (Keeping something within boundries) but I haven't seen it...
I'm sure this has already been said--Our main character is given two things by Louis: the name "Sonny" and a tape with "you are my sunshine" on it. Then the sun gets blotted out or whatever in Sonny 2.
I don't know how Louis knew that this would happen, or why somebody who is allegedly blind (he could see that zombie, remember?) is so important to this whole sun story, but it seems clear to me that a lot of stuff has happened before Sonny woke up. I mean, yeah, he's a zombie, but the ZPCI are trying to exploit an already existing zombie infestation for their own gains, and are for some reason hunting the few zombies who retain their humanity.
If the blood trail is a lure, how did whoever is luring him know that he would end up at the prison after however much time he spent getting there? Sonny isn't actively following the trail, anyway, he's just coincidentally seeing it wherever he goes. I think he and the bleeder are just going the same direction.
Relevant points, perhaps: Sonny 1 starts at dusk; "Sonny" is similar to "sunny;" the sun/moon has always been in each scene, except for the train/tunnel.
@AlphaCentauri (or anyone) Maybe Sonny and Louis were like Roald, in that they were studying a cure for the zombie condition, and THAT is why Louis thought the ZPCI was on his side. Since the ZPCI was on a mission to keep a cure from being discovered, they killed Louis instead of helping him.
That could be WHY Louis and Sonny were resistant, they were scientists. Or they could have just been test subjects for different cure possibilities (dunno about Veradux or Velicity yet) Not that that goes against your father/son theory, but it does relate.

@Jerkoid He claims to be able to smell zombies (who wouldn't? plus I've heard blind people have their other senses heightened), but I don't know how he could tell which zombie was which kind.
And apparently they are hunting Sonny because 1. He is a zombie, and that's what they do (kill zombies but try to keep a cure from being found). 2. He is a nuisance who is trying to destroy them.
I never said it was a lure... That wouldn't work. I agree, the bleeder bleeder is either going the same way as Sonny by coincidence, or is following Sonny actively.
See that "fake name" thing is what makes me think they aren't related. Plus, the way Louis acts, he doesn't seem to see Sonny as his son, or anything very emotionally close.
But if that was the case, why would Louis not have turned into a zombie?
Highfire, the movie Quarantine is about an apartment that gets infected by a modified rabies virus in which the infected become "zombies" and are extremely aggressive. The military traces an infected dog to the building and quarantine it. In the end everyone in the building at the time of quarantine either becomes infected or dies.
Duh. I just watched the intro and it says that it's been one month since Sonny woke up on the ship.
But now I'm confused, because Felicity stole the tape. Why would she want to? I thought she was only after revenge or justice or something. What might she know about what the tape means? But asking this is kind of futile, since we don't know anything about her.
Maybee Felicity is a ZPCI assasin, killing people like the mayor who are no longer useful to the ZPCI, accept no one makes the connection. The fact that she wants the tape could be to find what's left of the scientists looking for the cure. She could easily backstab Sonny in the next zone.
If u look at alot of Father-Son Situations at a stereo-typical age then you can see that it's not the son being dependant of the father - It's eachother being dependent on eachother - Louis is virtually useless in combat, and the fact that he could smell a Metabaii CLEARLY shows he could smell Sonny, he knows he's a zombie - Secretly showing that he gave Sonny the cure - The tape, and the name SON-ny shows another clue to being Father and Son, all i'm saying is that he probably knows what was going on, all of it - He said he would explain when they get away from the ship - And Dusk makes sense, there is only sun in one place of Sonny 1 - Zone 3, Baron Brixius was there, also Sonny 2 Zone 2 seemed the same as Zone one, meaning that hardly any time has passed since... Let's face it, it wouldn't take a whole day to get there
Felicity could be after Utopia, obviously she is, she says - The fact that she is after the mayor supports something - She could be with the rebelion, the mayor won't let her through... btw the body she was holding isn't with her when you find her, it could've been the mayor - he was surprisingly afraid of Felicity when she shown It could've been a failed ZCPI stopping the zombie Could be a large member of the Rebelion she was helping
Roald is part of a rebelion too - for a cure on Zombies, and from what I know is that the ZCPI are outlaws, could the economy be dependant on Zombies, doubt it, it's probable that they couldn't afford it and now are after a much more evil plan - Since the ZCPI been here a long time (Louis seems to think that he knew them quite well) All i'm saying is that, well this lol.... Basically Krin makes ALOT of Links, just the smallest thing could become the biggest thing

OK So sorry about this bunch of spam - But if it's so large no1 would read and I just found this out lol This explains alot - Louis wasn't extremely shocked but by his words and how he said he was relieved, so this could be something - But why aren't there tattoo's on Sonny... It's possible that it was another assassination or something - This test was to make sure that if someone was turned into one they could go back, and they made a small cure to the most reliable so they still have reason and could talk - But some complete idiot smashed it and caused the people without the pre-cure to turn into zombies - This could also be Veraduax and Felicity, they have lost memory and that's why it happened, ZCPI are doing more or less the security procedures... So yeah, this explains alot more too - Keep throw the paper and i'll make a plane!!! Or a Boat, I can make a boat too!!!
