brace i hate brace it hurts me a lot

I had them a few years ago, worst pain I've ever felt in my life. Imo, it doesn't matter how straight your teeth are, as long as you keep them clean.

yeah i got braces too my teeth are straight too. just today i got nailed in the face with a basketball cuz my team cant pass worth"stuff". with normal teeth it would hurt but with my braces my mouth was bleeding and i had to be taken out of the game....we lost too

Ow man, that's a bummer.

That sucks, I got my braces tightend last week and when she was putting my wire back on my lip got caught in between my teeth and the wire. She didn't notice and kept tightning it, OUCH! Now I have 7 stitches...

...sue sue sue!

i never got braces, o well

I only had to have them for 6 months! But I had to have everything else horrible done to my teeth...

I had one of these things for a while:

It periodically separates your jaw by expanding. You take the key, and turn it every day (which is what is shown in the picture). Every day it is widened a little more. So basically, it just slowly breaks your jaw wider apart.

I have had spacers, bonded retainers, wire and plastic retainers, surgery where they went up into my gums while I was awake to pull out teeth that had not come in yet.... pretty much everything you can imagine, I have had it. Basically, my mouth was too small for all of my teeth to come in properly if not dealt with. But hey, now I have gorgeous teeth!

But just be glad that you ONLY have braces. It could be worse

Well my mouth still hurts. I knew someone who had a key widener thing like yours Carlie...oww! I hate it when the orthodontist forgets to cut the wire at the back of your teeth and it cuts into your gum!
Carlie, is that your teeth mould or just one of the net?

Just one from the net. I remember at the end of it I had such a big gap between my two front teeth... lol. Glad that got fixed soon after!

And yea, braces still are not fun. Getting them tightened was always the worst for me. Nothing you can really do to get rid of that pain.

panadol works quite well but the pain is still there just fainter. I hate it when it is just a dull pain that you cant get rid of! it stopes you from doing anything.

yeah... braces really stink, i just go mine off a couple days ago i had to wear them for 2 months, and while i was wearing them i had to wear this stupid headgear during the night while i was sleeping, it hurt alot, but now im thankful to have them off

i have to have mine on for at least 18 months!
UNLUCKY : the night headgear! i am glad i dont have to wear that.

I had these new kind that weren't supposed to hurt when you tightened them.
Lies, it still hurt for like a week every time.
I had to wear them from 8th grade until right before my junior year.

Well I never had them and probaly never will.
