i'm lucky I guess. I just stick with terrestrial and avoid ITV all together. Obviously BBC has massive amounts of quality programming on it ( Mr Attenborough as I mentioned, Top Gear (best factaul entertainment show) and The Culture Show etc). channel 4 is a bit random at times but if you discount reality shows they do have some good things on. And five is quite good as well though it doesn't really have an identity as a channel yet in my opinion.

I have had freeview for a while but I stick with film4, BBC3/4 and Dave.

I am sorry for anyone who does not get Dave but it deserves a paragraph to itself. Apart from Argumental it feels like someone has read my mind and gone what would adam want to watch today. And just put random repeats of great shows on. lol.

Considering the BBC takes taxpayers money, MY £££, the quality should be much, much higher. There are some good shows, but nearly as many as other networks. Personally I like the idea that channel 4 should get some of the BBC's government funding.

I recently got Virgin+. You have a massive range of channles, but it just makes you realise how much shit there is out there. Honestly, the things people watch.

I will admit to liking Dave. They have a lot of quality shows, albeit re-runs, my favourite is probably 'Whose Line is it Anyway'. Although for me it's all about Alan Partridge on UKTV Gold. It is simply staggering how funny Steve Coogan is.

Generally though, at the moment, the Yanks definitely have the best tv. HBO is the best network on the planet. 'The Wire' is, succinctly, the greatest show on earth. I am quite liking the new show 'Generation Kill',and although they probably spent way too much money on it needlessley, the drama is pretty good.

Well, it depends. Everything in television is scripted except for reality shows and game shows. Hallmark? I did not know they had reality shows. Anyway, I still dislike reality shows.

I agree with you.

Here where I am, free television melts brains with ridiculous dramas and comedies and retarded game shows. That is why I am paying money to watch good television.

TV is good for you because you learn from it and if your evil you could brain wash people and turn them into zombies.
