"Commenting" shouldn't be an option; after all, it doesn't really tell you anything. Are you aware that there are at least 215,000 places on this site to comment on? Also, even if it tells you where the user is commenting, what good will it do? By the time you reach the user's comment, he'll be off doing something else.
Also, your status suggestions for "forum" and "laying game" are really pretty similar to the "commenting" suggestion; it really can't help you in any way if you don't specify where. For "forum", they should at least tell you which forum they're browsing; for "laying game", well, that one may be a bit self-explanitory...
I'm not trying to bash you, thingthingfreak; your suggestions are pretty neat ones. They just needed a little improvement is all.
I agree, and with this tool, we'll be able to tell who, if a user is online, is actually doing something and who is just sitting there idly; however, it shouldn't just pop up when you hover your mouse over over the user's name. Do you know how laggy that would make the site?

That would be the laggy part. Clicking on the profile would be just fine; hovering the mouse over it would be laggy. Especially if the information changed, because if a new comment had to be regenerated while every user online is hovering their mice over other users' names, that would make the site incredibly slow.
