If this was at a church or organized event, then there was obviously something suspicious

Alright, first off is something tennis said two pages back.

lol i just learned that today
and earnie no the earth isnt 4.5 billion years old the sun is
the earth is about 3 billion years old

Uh, you're half right. All the stuff in our solar system, according to most astronomers, was made at the same time - 4.6 billion years ago. The sun, the planets, everything condensed into solid matter. What happened on earth 3.5 billion years ago was the first bacteria appearing on Earth.

And this talk of miracles, well, miracles don't necessarily have to be miracles. What if there was a guy who was Satanic, made fun of God everyday, was cruel to everyone around him, then got cancer. What is it, then, if it suddenly cleared up after a while if he never changed his way of life? A miracle to a cruel Satanic? Riight...

And about proving stuff, nothing about things like the creation of the universe/Earth can be proven absolutely. The Bible can't be proven, and neither can Scientific explanations for it. We weren't there, so we can't say what's happened. What I do believe is that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old, not a mere thousands of years old. Like I said one time before, it's more likely that the 6000/7000/8000 year thing is how long there's been a belief in God.

Media is something used to store and transmit information ergo the Bible is media. It doesn't matter when it was written .Beofre that there were srolls and stuff.

Pixie's right here, other than one slight usage error... the word media is plural for medium. A medium is any way in which information is transmitted. News reporters use television as their medium. Deejays use radio as their medium. Public speakers use a stage as their medium. The Bible is technically not a medium, but the written word is. So the Bible is God using the written word as His medium.

Paintballer - Arsenal are (that's right, Americans... I said are) a soccer in the English Premier League, and one of the most successful clubs in history.

You sound like the stereotypical Christian that atheists use as an example of why we're all blind and stupid. You're a fool if you think science is fiction. Gravity was scientifically proven. If you don't believe in science, why not climb the nearest tall building, shout, "I don't believe in science!" and jump?

I believe in miracles, friend, and I have a personal testimony to God's work in my life. But you can't PROVE a miracle. If you could, it wouldn't be a miracle.

Pics or it's a lie!

Paintballer, how can you not think science exsists? The computer you're using to post on this website and the power it uses to run it all come from sceintific principles.

Alric, you can't actually scientifically prove anything. Everything in science is a theory and the latest and best theory is used until disproven but nothing in sceince is ever considered fact and therefore cannot be scientifically proven. It's a shield used so they can't be abused when they get proven wrong with better technology and theories.

You can not prove a miracle and it was at my camp I don't have a camera so I can't take pics. Also I would need to take pics with a x-ray. It's just not possible.

Xavier - You can't technically prove anything, scientifically or otherwise. One can always revert to the argument of a skeptic: "I don't exist/You don't exist/That doesn't exist."

But I see where you're coming from. Every generation, new theories are brought forth, and the newest theory is always developed in order to prove the current "model" of how the world works.

paintballer - Science and God are not mutually exclusive. Can't God have created a universe with governing laws (i.e. gravity)? If he can do anything, doesn't that fall under the definition of anything?

P.S. Just once I'd like to punch a skeptic in the face. It's not like he can get mad... my fist and his face don't exist.

I find it hard to believe as well to be honest. But what is the "real" explanation for faith healing. It apparently happens so what is the con?

Scientists say that it is about 4.5 billion years old, based on carbon- dating and all that... The bible says that Earth is about 7000. I think that, if we go all the way back to the creation of the universe, I think that God created the infinitely dense atom that induced the "Big Bang," and he monitored and controlled universal growth from there on in.
