Does anyone have any opinions on how the Earth really is?

I believe in the scientific story of things, so I can say that Earth is as old as the Universe itself since all matter that it was made of was already there from the beginning. How old Earth is as the watery spheroid we all know is (like what many have said) about 4.5 billion years old.

And why just science against Christianity here? People of other religions, speak! Make this debate more interesting.

The earth is 4.6 billion years old, but in the Bible, it's more the modern civilization, of when things happened, and you have to remember, the Creation Story is a story! God did create the earth, the universe, but we have no real record about the exact creation! However, this is a religious truth, and yes, I am catholic!

Creation Story is a story!

I think it's called the creation theory :P

and I think in the theory God made the earth in 6 days.

That may be true, BUT, we forget that God is,He is, He always will be, the Alpha-the Omega, there is no start or finish without Him! Therefore, God is not bound by the earthly sands of time, because to Him, time is irrelevant, so is everything that is of our lives except love, and six days is just a theoretical representation of time to show that Gods creations takebtime because they are made with the most powerful thing, love!

The that is somewhat true, however, there is a point thatyou reach where no rock exists, only magma, btw, 97% of the rock on earth has changed it's form, this making it a "new" rock! So 3% is what it used to be, and never changed!

Haha I would be very scared too0-o

So can you only find the age of earth by carbon dating rocks?

Haha I would be very scared too0-o

yes, I shouldn't have added the eyebrows so it/him/her wouldn't look so angry.
