As all of us should know, humans are at the top of the food chain. Should we really be there though? Look at some of the top predators in the wild. All of which could easily kill a human. So, really why are we located on the top of the food chain? Because of our intelligence or because we created it? What do you think?
P.S: Sorry, if this has been created before, but I thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss.
Well really, when you look at it we are only here, becuse we use weapons to kill things I suppose...
But when you thin about it, what do we eat really? Cows, chickens...things way down on the food chin. if we ate lepards, then we could be up here, but really we dont belong here...
If it is bare face-to-face chain, than we would be around the middle or near the under tier.
But with what we have right now, weapons, shields, radar, supplies etc, we are definitely at the top of the chain. Until we find the aliens, that is...

We could eat leopards if we wanted to; we eat cows and chickens because they breed easily and are very abundant.
I've always thought the food chain is based on the "thing's" natural defense tactics. So, an unarmed human is in bad shape against many of nature's predators. Keep in mind that most animals can survive more than one gunshot.
But, what if the human didn't have a gun? For example, many divers go out to sea with a harpoon gun (etc.). A shark could easily dispatch the human without a struggle.
Also if the food chain was judge by intelligence the order would be completely different.
An unarmed human, depending on the human, can have a chance against a wild predator. If the animal can surive multiple gunshots, wouldn't that depend more on the gun than the animal?
I know, my last post wasn't too clear, so I'm explaining it now.
If the animal can surive multiple gunshots, wouldn't that depend more on the gun than the animal?
It would also depend on the dexterity of the animal, but we were on top of the food chain before guns were invented or so scientist say. Do you think we belonged there and still do?
You do realize that there's more than one food chain, right?
Well any food chain involving humans, humans are still on top. The only way I can see that humans should be on top is because we can disturb any food chain we are in easily.
