I've read the firefox thread and I still have some doubts.
___________________________________________________________

1. Is the download free?

2. Can I have both IE and firefox?

3. If I change to firefox my internet files(Cookies) will be deleted?

4. Is firefox more safe then IE? I mean is the pop-up blocker good?

5. The ad-ons are free? I think so But I'm not sure.

IE is VERY vulnerable to script viruses, you can get infected just by visiting an infected page (some of that viruses cant be detected by major antiviruses). Then a hacker can make your PC a spambot, or just steal your passwords, or whatever he wants.

Well, personally I dont like FF cause its pretty slow. I prefer Opera.

But FF does have a bunch of very useful plug-ins, that's why I use it from time to time.

1. Yes, Firefox is free and open source.

2. You can have IE and Firefox both at the same time.

3. Your cookies, stored passwords, temp files etc. WILL NOT be deleted. You can transfer them from IE if you want to.

4. Firefox has been proven to be safer than IE.

5. I am not sure. Most addons are free if not all of them.

Firefox? More like steaming pile of rinocerous feces.

If that is the case, than IE is a ton of elephant feces.

Microsoft IS NOT always correct. IE is slow and unreliable. I use Firefox and Safari.

I always used IE up until a few months when i was annoyed with something (i cant remember what specifically) about it so i thought i would try Firefox. Now i never use IE (and i always get confused using it on the family computer because i forget i dont have my Firefox add-ons).
For me Firefox is much quicker than IE, and i hate using IE now.
I also read recently that Safari is supposedly the fastest browser of all (though im not sure how accurate that is).

one other thing i prefer about firefox is that it crashes so much less often than IE, and when it does, all of the pages you were on are saved, and you have the option to load them back up, and you can do that any time you close it normally too. i havent used IE8 yet, but i see no need to switch back

That is because Firefox has the wonderful "Restore last tabs" option. You can however, change the options to not restore the last tabs. About homepage choice, your statement made me laugh. You CAN obviously change the homepage. The developers at Mozilla would look like idiots if they did not include the said feature.

To change your home page simply..

1. Click on Tools
2. Select Options
3. You will see the feature to change the homepage.

Safari is very fast. Though I stick to Firefox for several reasons. The most important is the fact that Safari lags my PC at times.

Now, the questions have been answered for... 4 pages now...
Really, keeping this alive is weird and kind of spamming, since you are either just answering again, or being off topic.
So let it die again, huh?
Make a topic about FF, if you want to discuss it, or go to the stickied and post some add-ons.
All people have preferences when it comes to browsers, really, and most computers handle the browsers differently. Some crash, some does not, so saying that one or the other crash more is just odd.

Yes, just let this die...
