If Newgrounds can start giving out awards why can't we. We can give out awards for best game, best user, most popular game, and most popular game genre. Hows that?
Nah, AG is AG and newgrounds is newgrounds. besides the mods do give out merits dont they? And awards for best player etc would be pointless, the best players are usually the mods. Merits are much fairer, you have a better chance of getting one!
And there's already a good post reward named a merit.
No, another suggestion would be to up the amount of points earned for a game submit - If a merit is 25 points then a game should be AT LEAST 50!
But really we shouldn't copy from others, and a guy said some stuff about best game etc, it does matter what is more popular or what is better - Some people may have their best game as something but the one they go on more is different
The Genres matter - If you love shooting you obviously wouldn't go on a popular Strategy rather than an average Shooter, sometimes that is
AG wouldn't be copying newgrounds if they got an achievement system. There are tons of other sites(Kongregate and Nonoba just to name a couple) that have the same system. I like AG how it is. I think that newgrounds is ridiculous to navigate through at all.....
