Following some debating between Ninjas and pirates, I've added a new contestant to the debate. Do you like samurais better, ninjas better, or pirates better? Remember that they are mostly disbanded and gone now, but let's say if you were to join one of the classes, which would you join?
Pirates - Uh, probably never Ninja - Very cunning, stealthy and proud. Love to be one of those. Samurai - They look awesome! Wouldn't mind being this one either.
Where as ninjas are anarchic and fight for the people and pirates fight only for themselves, samurai fight for their daimyu, their own honor, the law of the land, their families' honor and the people (as they saw it).
The only laws of a ninja are naught but guidelines on how to do their job right. Pirates only laws are simple codes of maritime diplomacy. Samurai follow a code of respect and honor.
Ninjas fight with farm tools and pirates with stolen guns and swords. Samurai fight with: their daisho, a set of swords passed down though many generations and the soul of the samurai; a yumi, a bow that was seen as the soul of the samurai long before the katana was first forged; a naginata, a slashing pole arm that was treated as a daisho in terms of honor; and a kenabo, a big *** club covered in metal studs.
When a ninja loses his job, he becomes a common theif. When a pirate loses his job, he becomes a hobo. When a samurai loses his job, he becomes a ronin.
Who still doesn't think samurai are the best? I thought so.
A ninja usually carries a sword and shuriken, lightweight. Samurais have armor, swords, and a bow with arrows, that does weight a lot. Pirates usually have a sword with a pistol.
So, ninjas most likely move the quickest since they are so agile and trained to be that way. Samurais live by a code and whatnot, but with all that weight it does drag them down a bit. Pirates are lightweight as well, but they aren't trained to be fast. However, they have guns. The Samurai armor might be able to withstand the gunshot since the gun isn't modern. A ninja could probably take out a Samurai and pirate without even getting close to them by throwing a shuriken. But if it's close combat then I think a samurai would win because of the armor and the weapons that they have. Pirates would win at long distance since they have pistols. Samurais could also win at long distance due to them having bows, but pistols are more effective.
It all depends on the situation. But according to Deadliest Warrior, the pirate beat the ninja. I haven't heard anything about either of those two going against a samurai warrior.
I think during the yime where samurai's were popular in japan, there was a war between gov samurais and peasants with rifles. Peasants won. The problem is that their armor can't withstand bullets.
According to Matrix, the samurais are very ugly. The pirates are pretty much a piece of crap with out their guns. And ninjas are just agile and stealthy.
No, you're putting words in my mouth and since you posted that I highly doubt that you even read my post about it.
That's the samurai's armor, that has nothing to do with their looks and not once in my post did I say anything about their looks. Pirates have swords, remember.
I respect the samurai the most, but I would probably be a pirate. Mostly for the spoils (rum, gold, etc.). Samurai and ninjas didn't get paid much, if anything, because it was just honorable to their families and their nation).
I definitely respect the Samurai and the Ninja a lot. It's my heritage, especially the Samurai. I don't go for pirates, they stole. I think I'd be a Ninja. They're cool.
