Obama, who seems to be the second coming of Christ to the media, has already clamped down on FOIA.

His "reforms" are just a disguise to do what Bush had been doing for the past 8 years.

He closes Guantanamo... but a new prison has opened in Afghanistan which gives the prisoners NO constitutional rights. Bush ordered all US troops out of Iraq... Read More by June 2011. Obama extended the deadline to December 2011, yet took all credit for ending the war. To me, all US deaths from June to December 2011 are on his head. He has allowed politicians to put earmarks all over the stimulus so they could get their private jets and other unnecessary desires.

Obama is a criminal, just like Bush and every President since FDR! They need to be tried and convicted. Send them off to prison forever!

You obviously know nothing about the presidents since FDR.

Also, Obama has said that hes pulling the bulk of troops out of Iraq by 2010.

And you only mention one reform hes made. Besides, nowhere does it say the new prison gives no constitutional rights.

Also, he never wanted politicians to do that. They had to do it in order for obama to get it to pass

Bribes...

Basically, TheListman is right and you are ignorant.

Although i do not agree with the fact that they are criminals, i think that this country needs sharpening up and good presidents.

This country has been on an economic decline since FDR.

Please put quotes and c/p text in quote marks or use quote tags.

I'll assume this is part of the c/p text as it doesn't seem like you to say this. Such rhetoric discredits rationality.

But my bigger question: what warrants this being a separate thread from the "official obama thread"?

I didn't quite catch some of the stuff you said that was in that article but why should they be thinking about pulling soliders out of Iraq yet? The American army created the mess just because somone else takes over they shouldn't be able to leave it whenever they feel like it. There shouldn't be a date they're striving for. It should be a stable political environment in Iraq before they leave.

@Strop

All the "Official Obama Thread" is about is the Stimulus Bill and how he is either 1) The Messiah or 2) How he is a Communist Muslim.

I'm trying to get away from that pointless discussion and talk about relevant things.

Don't forget crack sniffing drug dealer.

With regards to Obama, I think he has made the classic mistake of promising too much during his election. Over here in the UK, you can just sideline manifesto promises to a meaningless committee, for example House of Lords Reform. For Obama, he seems to have found his own way of making it look like he is doing what he promised without actually going through with it. Welcome to the world of politics.

I beg to differ. The President of the US is arguably the most powerful person in the world. Constitutionally, he does not have much power, but in practice, he has tons of power.

Example, even if congress voted unanimously against the Iraq War, Bush would have had full authority to invade. The President has full authority to break the law in the name of "security" and has done so.

Actually, it is and always has been Congress' decision to wage war. If you wanna wage war on terror, Congress has gotta vote on it.

At least in the US congress has some say on the matter. Due to the convention, the monarch attatches her Royal Preorogative powers to the Prime Minister, meaning he can declare war without The Common's permission.

I heard something about he wanted to extend school to 12 hours a day, and make it go through the whole year with hardly any breaks.

I heard that he's a terrorist, and the head of Al Qaeda, and he used to be friends with osama bin laden, but they stopped hanging out so that he wouldn't look bad when he ran for president.
