Anyone who votes RS obvously hasnt played WoW for more than 10 min. Theres nothing Runescape has done that WoW hasnt either done better or not at all because Runescape did it terribly. WoW > RS by about 1.598*10 to the 6000 power
Considering what is is, RuneScape strikes me as superior. It's an entirely browser-based game made with Java. With that in mind, the graphics and game play are phenomenal. You don't need to download anything. And it runs pretty smoothly, even on computers not so well equipped for gaming. So, I'd have to say RuneScape, because it's by far better for what it is.
well its good for what it is, a browser based game. But its still not a very good MMORPG. Its like comparing it to say sonny 2, yes RS is better. But comparing RS to WoW is like comparing a Pinto to a Porche.
I dont understand how people could actually choose Runescape over World of Warcraft! Is it the price? Cause theres no way you can like the actual [i]game more
Ummmm, Runescape is a free game, and its almost like WoW, except for the graphics and how long it takes to get around(except for those magic spells), any way WoW is an Expansion game, being updated frequently and LOTS of ppl play it (better graphics too), it also uses Mana instead of Runes to use magic >.<
Well I used to play Runescape for about 2 years awhile back.. I just recently quit playing WoW after about a year of playing it.. Wow has so many better features to it.. Graphics, gameplay and soo much more... It may cost more but it's alot better. The only downfalls about WoW are the cost, addiction and ruining of your life :/.
World of Warcraft is so much better! And I've never even played it. RuneScape has terrible graphics, the quests are subpar, and the Runescape soundtrack can be re-played by 2 yr-olds.

also just a note: RS DOES install files on your PC, ive tried playing RS before, then i quit, and while browsing my program files one day i noticed a file named Jagex, i opened it and there were RS files. so STFU about RS not installing anything
it is storing information to make runescape load faster next time. these are not install files and they are not required to run RS. you can delete them if u want as it is only saved options for something or other. im not even sure what its for but im sure it helps in some way. btw its called: "jagex_runescape_preferences.date" which is only 4kb in file size!
If RS players think that $15 a month is a lot, then you must be on welfare or something, cause in the real world, thats not much at all. $5 a month isnt even worth it, considering you only can go 10 lvls higher (and maybe a few more small things), and you get the cheapest graphics and the slowest gameplay. With WoW, you get what you pay for, with things like much better graphics, much smoother gameplay, a much bigger online community (11+ million i believe), much better customer server, better gameplay, and much more realistic gameplay as well. RS has terrible graphics WITH the new and enhanced graphics (Rounding off your edges really isnt too much of an update), and it has a much smaller online community, and terrible customer service (a BOT handles the complaints for blackmarks), and so on. My point is this: WoW > RS
there is a lot i can say for this. well not everyone is willing to throw 15 a month at a game and there is a financial crisis going on. wat will u do when u lose ur job? membership increases options in RS by a huge deal just research it yourself. maybe by about 130 or more quests, 13 more skills and a huge new area to explore. that is just a few of them. customer complaints are examined by runescape staff very often. also games arent realistic to begin with. RS graphics arent that bad and yes WOW laggs too as i have experienced. there update method sucks also compared to RS as runescape takes 1 minute to completely install its updates.

ive played WOW and i understand concepts of it. i think RS has done their quests much better than WOW has done theirs. even their basic quests outdo many of WOWs quests. read my previous points and you will see. they are about 10-15 pages back. also this is the only thread ive ever posted on lol.

if you have never played the game that you think is so much better than your comment is pointless and there was no point posting it. if you think the quests are sub par then u probably clicked through all the text without reading it. the 2 worst quests of RS are cooks assistant and witches potion. i'm just stating all these comments to outline some misconceptions
I think wow is better because you have more character options and it'good because you can explore all the world and buy allmost all the stuff without real life money
